Twenty Nine

At the Matron desk I explain what I was going to do and all the things she needed. Leading Laura to the bath room I took caution not to inflict more pain to the injured areas, as I cleans the wounds. Drying her properly then apply the ointment putting on the clean robe that was replaced for the hospital gown.

At her bed I cream her skin and comb her hair then give her the kit of food. When Laura was done eating, I ask, "Can I remove the curtain now?" Laura nodded, Lin stroke her face, and "you are so beautiful. I want to hug you, but I am afraid I might hurt your wounds."

Seeing the child stood up and wrapped the arms around my waist. "No one will hurt you again, so don't be afraid."

Opening the curtain everyone from the nurses to the patients turn to look at her, clapping as they see what a marvelous job I had done with the child.
