The King Player

Typically of him, he just watches it with a cunning smile and a rested head in the palm of his hand. "...Well well well, isn't that the product of my own making. He's surely the most advanced of the 10 when it comes to that." Says Axel, The King.

Gloriously sitting in his shiny golden throne, the 10 digital screens he was watching back at the Tower followed him here as well, in which one of them had Zephyr indulging in his animalistic pleasures.

"Alright enough of this one, let's switch our eyes to..."

Suddenly, someone appears in front of the king, while kneeling on the ground like a true loyal servant.

"Praise be to the King of all worlds, Axel the magnificent!" He quickly salutes.

Wearing a mix of bleak black and purple, a long and wide coat made of very fine material, with 6 strains reaching down to the ground, only his face wasn't covered. On top of his head a weirdly shaped thick hat, resembling those of Christian pops back hundred years ago.

But the most interesting detail, were his inhumanly eyes void of any pupils, they shined with purple color. It gave him an aura that was...menacing and terrifying! Certainly not for Axel though, his resting face didn't change one bit.

"What is it? Abigor" He nonchalantly asks.

"The first report, master!" Abigor replies.

Hearing so, Axel gets his head up and sits straight. It seems as if it does interest him now.

Abigor continues. "In the first 24 hours of each realm, we've received an important amount of energy.

Most of which came from Emperia."

Axel. "Hmm! To no surprise. It is the most dangerous of the inhabited realms.

Cite the numbers for each realm..."

Abigor. "Yes master!

Cases of first deaths, 96 deaths in Emperia, 37 in Arcadia, 20 in Vagaland, 12 in Nyxia, 8 in Eques. The total is 173 cases of first life loss."

Axel. "Interesting, I must admit that surpassed my estimations a bit for the first day. I thought they're not that stupid to lose a life so quickly and easily. Though I'm waiting for one to happen in Eden.

Eitherways, one step closer to martyrdom for their souls."

"I have not finished master, we recorded 7 cases of Psychrôs as well!" Abigor informs the King.

Axel moved up in front the moment he received the information, his eyes got wider as well. "Really!! In which realm?"

"In Scholomance itself." Abigor answers.

The king took some time to think of what this could possibly mean. "In scholomance... in which region?"

Abigor. "The Sigil regions, master."

"...That means, they begun the sacrifice rituals.

Who exactly ordered this?" Axel asks, with a serious facial expression this time.

Abigor. "The Seraphim..."

Axel takes some other seconds again to think, then puts the palm of his hand and runs it though his face, as if his head started to bother him!

And says "Aah... Damn! The seraphim... They can truly be insufferable nuisance.

I haven't handled them in quite some time, but I believe this old man can still tie their hands to a certain extent."

"Master! I can negotiate such terms if you desire so." Abigor suggests.

Axel. "Needless..." The King finally stands up from the throne. "After all, I'm a player in this world myself.

Abigor, Locate their legion... I will be paying them a quick visit."

*Arcadia, Town N°9, House N°1*

"Woaah... I feel so tired! When was the last time I made such physical effort.." Says Valvesteen, as he throws himself on the bed he just finished cleaning. "Ah, I got to wash my hands first... or maybe take a whole shower.

But let me take a quick rest before doing so."

After staring at the white roof of his white little room, in his white bed for a long minute. He takes a quick look at his watch, the latter responds automatically by getting switched on.

Valvesteen communicates his thoughts, the thoughts of discovering the tools he acquired earlier on. The watch displays them digitally in front of his eyes.

"...it's really hard to have any idea on these objects from their looks, they're just...odd!" He tells himself. "But I'm sure there is a description for each of these, just like there were instructions in Nina's place."

Rightly so, the description of each tool was displayed as the following:

Pens: An instrument for writing and drawing, using a liquid referred to as "Ink" of different colors."

Pencils: an instrument for drawing, using a thin stick made of graphite. it comes in different shapes and sizes depending on the desired result."

Brushes: an implement with a handle and a block of bristles, hair, or wire, used especially for either painting, drawing, and or cleaning, depending on the kind of brush and the desired result.

Canvas: a strong, coarse unbleached cloth made from hemp, flax, or a similar yarn, used for drawing and oil painting.

Valvesteen stops here and says. "I was keeping up a bit, until I read words like hemp, flax and yarn... what's oil painting supposed to refer to? Is it a different kind of painting?!

Can I find a definition for these...

I'll search."

Grey finds nothing, the watch refuses to respond.

"So I'll have to discover their meaning myself... There is other tools I haven't read their descriptions, but for now I'll see about the ones I did. It already seems a bit overwhelming... Not only I must discover their utility, but the way to utilize them. And then, use them to complete the mission, a mission I haven't yet discovered!"

Valvesteen gets up on his feet, reaches to a white towel hanging from on top of the room's door. "A shower can do me good, I need to relax and organize my thoughts, the same way I organized this house."

...

Not that far away, Danielo Berniari was discovering his own place and tools.

It wasn't an actual house that he was destined to reside in, it was rather named " Town 9 Theatre "

Compared to the size of other houses in the area, it is the biggest.

The moment you enter, a narrow passage takes you towards the theatre's scene. Dusty and rusty it was, as if no man stepped on it for three centuries.

Like any classical theatre, the scene was of a higher altitude than the audience seats. Though dirty, the strong red of its sofa reflects strongly on the eyes of Danielo, who's still discovering the whole place in an aww, and confusion.
