"Moooooommmmmmmm"!!!!!, "Daaaaaaddddddd"!!!!!

It is almost 12 midnight when Jean Mary shouted from the top of her lungs as if she was running, and someone was coming at her. She was gasping for air, and her sweat is dripping from her forehead. Jean Mary seemed to be very frightened of her dreams.

She kept calling her parents until her parents reached her room.

"What happened to you my dear daughter? Her mom asked her with full of worry while her dad observed her from the side.

"I dreamed mom of a man, he was my ideal man, very handsome and charming. It was our wedding day, and I was in a cloud nine for marrying such a handsome man" her eyes gleamed with so much love as she described her dream. But a little later, it turned sour and gloomy as she continued to remember her dreams. "And when it was my turn to say my vow, I lifted my head to look at him and his face was so scary like a demon with glaring eyes, and a wicked smile. I felt so fearful while looking at him that I can't even breath for a second. And then I woke up, I was relieved that it was just a dream but my bones are still trembling until now".

Her parents looked at each other with meaningful look. Then her mom said, "Honey, it was just a bad dream, it doesn't have any meaning or maybe you didn't pray before you sleep that's why you had such a terrible dream. I will accompany you until you fall asleep again." And so, she did. After Jean Mary fell asleep, the couple went back to their room and talked about their daughter's upcoming marriage. Jean Mary's family ancestors were servants of a powerful family in their town long time ago. That powerful family was so mysterious that people in their town were so afraid of them paired with gossips that anyone who marries to that family ends up dead after giving birth to a son. Yet, Jean Mary's grand father still agreed as per his last will that if his grand child turns up to be a girl, she will marry the grand child of his boss. After the agreement had been made, the mysterious family migrated abroad for some unknown reason. Hence, Jean Mary's grandfather was the last of her family to serve them. For many years, Jean Mary's family had been an outcast of that town, and no one befriended them for being associated to that mysterious family. But soon it had been forgotten when the mysterious family migrated abroad and Jean Mary, and her parents lived a normal life. Little did they know that their normal lives will be ruined as soon as the family returned.

John, Jean Mary's father was appalled by the fact that her daughter will be taken away. "I never knew that what my father told me was real and valid. And now, that wicked family is about to get my only daughter".

"We have no choice but to abide them, they left a large sum of money to your father that served as a dowry, and we have been enjoying it for years. And they told us that they will get back to us if we don't abide them. I am afraid of that cursed family. They can do whatever they want to us because they have money and power". Mae, Jean Mary's mother said.

The couple was anxious that they didn't get back to sleep that night, as a result, they woke up late to see that their daughter had gone to school already.

Jean Mary was running because she was about to be late, she didn't have her breakfast at home, that's why she went to the school canteen to grab something to eat, and she didn't notice the time and heard the bell rang. She didn't mind her way and her mind was filled up with her being tardy. She was feeling guilty because she's a student who abides the rules of the school, and it is the first time in her life to be late. She didn't see a man wearing a hood that was coming her way, and she bump to that person.

She was about to get angry to the man, but at the moment she lifted her head, she was unable to utter a single word, and her face froze for a couple of minutes. She was in awe to see the most handsome man she had ever seen in her life. The man was tall, his face was refreshing, his eyes, eyebrow, nose and lips looked a like perfect piece of sculpture. He was also using a very expensive perfume that only people from high class society could afford. Jean Mary was staring that man when a very masculine voice woke her up.

"You're drooling". The man said and handed her the things she dropped when she bumped him.

Jean Mary felt embarrassed, and she accepted her things.

"Thank you". And she left to her classroom.

But the man stared Jean Mary from the back and was thinking about something in his mind.

In the classroom, Jean Mary was gasping her breath when she reached the classroom. But she was relieved to know that their morning class was cancelled due to an urgent faculty meeting. She sat beside her friend Anne immediately.

"I thought you are not coming over. It's rare for you to be late" Anne said.

"I woke up late today and didn't have my breakfast at home, that's why I stopped by at the canteen to have one." Jean explained.

"Hey Jean, have you heard that someone so handsome is newly transferred in our school?" Anne excitedly shared the information with her.

"I never heard of that, unlike you who always like to receive news from others, I on the other hand preferred to mind my own business." Jean teased Anne.

Anne retorted back and said. " Yeah right, I am a little gossipy, you don't have to remind me. Anyway, I was just sharing the news since Kaye already told every girl in School that Jan Reynolds is hers. Anyone who set her eyes on him is dead."

Kaye is the number one bully in school, she leads her gang to bully anyone whom she finds annoying. Kaye and her cohorts are not afraid of the teachers and staff in school, and it is the other way around. The boards in their school bow down their heads to Kaye because her mother is the number one benefactor of that school. In fact, Jean Mary should be the top in her class, but since Kaye has powers, she always ranked 2nd to Kaye.

"I really don't mind. You know that I always opted to be a wall flower. That way, I will live a peaceful school life." Jean said.

After the class that day Jean Mary went home straight.
