Chapter 6

"We have been receiving phone calls none stop about a fog on a Monday night! Many of the callers claimed to have seen a man disintegrating before them! How far this is true remains a mystery that we at YW News are hoping to see to get the answers that the public is seeking! Pilot is swooping down to catch a glimpse of what could be within the fog!"

A man in headsets stretched his neck from the window of a helicopter to look at the fog below him. The camera crew from the news station sat at the back to capture the scene below and the male reporter that was at the front seat. Displayed on the cockpit was gadgets with screens that provided a two-way communication with the people in the copter and those at the physical location from where the news was broadcasted. Sweatshirt and jeans were the standard code of dressing for auxiliary support staff that included the pilot and the camera man.

"I see something flying! It....resembles an insect...that is not unusual for insects to fly at night! There's eerie quietness! I expect to see the fire trucks! There is not a single soul in sight! How long would this last? Roll in!"

In fitted black business suit and white shirt, the reporter battled the wind that was drowning his voice amidst the loud clap of the helicopter blades. The young reporter barked at the camera man to zoom the lens at the desolate land below them.

"Shit! What is that?!!"

The hell moth that were circling the fog launched themselves at their new target.

"KKKEEEE...."

"Roll your window up! The insects are going to get in! Why are there so many of them? Is it their breeding season?!"

"Anchor Chung! Watch out!"

The crew who shot the scene was a 33-year-old man in large oval glasses that took his entire face. A gap of 7 years separated him from the pilot.

Batting at the hell moth that made its way into the helicopter, the reporter did not give up swatting the annoying insect with his hands. Eventually the fist he aimed at the hell moth squashed it against the helicopter's window.

"That's how you do it!"

"I think it's just one that came in! The rest of them are outside."

"Yes, thankfully it's only this one."

A sigh escaped the mouth of the reporter, to him it signified that their battle with the insect had been won and victory was theirs that night.

"K-K-KEEEE...EEEE!!!!"

"Anchor Chung, the...bug is hanging over your head!

"What? Trainee Wah?!"

Petrified by the sinister sound in the confines of the helicopter, the pilot's eyes shrunk when he saw that not one but about fifteen more were circling over the head of the reporter.

"There are more of them in the helicopter! Sir! No matter how scary this is, I beg you! Do not open the window!"

"Shit! Where did they come from?!"

His heart picked up speed and began to beat rapidly from the fear inducing condition that he was currently facing.

"Pilot Lim! How close is the nearest landing spot?! We..."

The hell moth began splitting into multiples as the people within became paralyzed by fear in their seat, their eyes held a blank look in them. Hell moth's killing intent instilled an overwhelming sense of doom into the men.

Those that flew outside also started to replicate and attach themselves to the helicopter, dragging the steel bird with them.

"Anchor Chung? Are you still there? Their screen went dead."

"ZZ....PP....ZZZ"

The hell lounged at the occupants, draining the blood out of them. Static sound was the last thing the people in the communication room heard before the helicopter crashed and caught fire.
