More than enough coins

*Bang *Bang *Bang

The sound of continuous gunshots resounded in the streets as a truck raced around in between hoards of zombies rushing after with crazed hungry looks. The truck had a loudspeaker mounted on is with was blasting out electronic music attracting hoards of zombies towards the truck.

The beats of the music intermixed with the continuous sound of gunshots created a hair-raising symphony which made theory hearts beat a bit faster and their faces a bit flushed due to the excitement and action.

"I bet no one would be able to beat my high score in it if it was a game" Jason called out from the top of the truck. They had made a makeshift gun turret of him on the roof of the tuck from where he was accurately popping zombie heads as if they were watermelons. Such level of savagery and carnage would have made any lower man succumb to the darkness and make them lose their mind but Jason kept a clean conscience. He knew that these zombies in front of him were no human beings they were a totally different species now which would come to hunt humans. What he was doing was make himself stronger and also help the other surviving humans in this locality by killing these disgusting beings for them. He knew that he was no saint, not after killing so much but he knew he would leave it all behind if he could.

There are two types of people who kill. One who kills for pleasure and for their inner desire for carnage and murder, and the other who kill out of necessity. While the latter can hope to keep a sane mind after such an ordeal the former can only go down a path of no return and turn into something that is simply not human.

Jason was the latter as he did not find any pleasure in killing and thinking of it as a game was his take on trying to run away from the effect of all the killing but it was just a temporary solution and he would have to face it sooner or later.

"You know I would have enjoyed this game if not for all the bloody brain matter and broken skulls scattered around," Jason said as he kept up his pace in headshotting zombies. Swapping pistols for assault gun can increase your killing efficiency and speed and this was excellently displayed by Jason as he was emptying out magazine after magazine and he did not have the time to swap them manually so he was swapping them using his inventory and he would buy more magazines from the coins he would get from killing zombies. It created a loop in which he effectively had unlimited ammo and he was making huge profits as most of the zombies were at level two giving five coins each. They would sometimes encounter mutated zombies which had powers and he would try to kill them, he could do it in one or two tries they would collect the mana bead and if they had some weird power like stone skin or a protective force field that made it too difficult to kill them then they would speed past that area and go farm zombie heads in another location as their goal was to farm as many zombie heads as possible not fight strong zombies and waste their time.

"I'm Gald you are still sane little brother," Kim said as she laughed.she was worried for her little brother as he had been killing nonstop and it could cause adverse effects on one's mentality. But listening to him say that she could see that he was coping with it well and she would check on him again later after they reach the construction site.

They had been doing this for two days and this was their last day as today their new home would be completed and they would go search Harry's parents.

For these two days, they had been killing nonstop continuously except small breaks in between and a large one in the night for healing their tired bodies. According to his calculation, a single bullet cost him one coin if rounded and that made the profit on each zombie killed to four coins but as he did not always kill in one shot his average came to about a 3 coins for each zombie he kills and he had killed tens of thousands of zombies in these two days. This made his coin count to a whopping 89k coins. Suddenly he had more coins he could imagine and he had thought of spending them on something productive and something that could kill more and that could help them survive.

"We are done brother come back soon" Aiden's voice came over the radio, attached to his belt. He had bought better radio communication equipment which worked for longer ranges so that they could contact them even if they were far away from them.

"We'll be there in half an hour" Jason replied as he kept shooting.

"It's time to head back" Jason called out loudly.

"Sit tight little brother," Kim said with a grin as she took a hard right turn smashing a group of zombies and sped towards the road to the construction site smashing zombies on the way.

The truck they were riding was in a dire state with it's front totally damaged and all the windows are broken due to zombies smashing into them. This is the reason they worked so hard on their new home because they want it to last long and not die out on the journey.

Jason kept shooting zombies that he saw running after them. Their truck had become quite famous amongst the survivors, killing zombies with such efficiency was both fascinating and terrifying for them to witness. There had been numerous attempts to contact them by other survivors but they had either ignored them or politely denied any contact as they did not need any more members for now, not before finding Harry's parents as that was the milestone Jason had decided as the time when they would start to build their own base of operations for the apocalypse and start accepting survivors.

Another thing that kept Jason on the edge was the upcoming invasion and the fact that it could happen any time or it may have happened already as they had no way of determining it.
