Lost in her thoughts Lia continued to gently stroke the little girl when suddenly, she turned flat on her back and stretched out her tiny arms. She then slowly opened her sleepy eyes to the glistening sunlight.
Lia was startled by the little girl's sudden movements, she retracted her hand instantaneously and silently observed the girl's actions with bathed breath.
Her anxiety was at its peak...
The little girl turned and twisted her tiny body as she stretched under the warm , soft covers. She rubbed the remainders of sleep from her big bright eyes and gazed at the horizon. The sun was already up in the clear blue sky, illuminating the snowy mountains and lush green forests. The koel's melody greeted her with calm and peacefulness on this special morning. A bright smile spread across her unfanthomly beautiful and delicate little face. She happily jumped out of the bed and ran into the balcony with her tiny legs.
Basked in the golden rays she looked at the sky, joining her hands together for a heartfelt prayer.
Her large, glistening pair of eyes sparkled with joy and happiness. Framming them were thick curly eyelashes that were slightly upturned like the aerials of the Great Arcruz. Her deep voilet orbs were clear and free of any impurities and exuded her divinity, captivating those who looked her in the eye into the world of unknown mysteries.
Father Abraham offen defined her as a timeless, alluring beauty straight out of a fantasy because of her mysterious aura and divine disposition.
" Good Morning Dear God. How are you today? " The little girl asked. " Are you well? I hope you are not too tired. Please take good care of yourself, because if you fall sick then who will take care of the world?
Oh! By the way, guess what God? Today's our birthday. Now we're six years old. Can you believe it? Hehe.. I can't. But I know that in the past year we have troubled you a lot. You are always so busy taking care of so many people in the world and we always cause so much of trouble for you. Still you always make time for us. So thank you, dear God.Thank you for always taking care of us and for always protecting us. You are the best God..."
A smile paved it's way on Lia's lips at the little girl's innocent prayer while joy filled the hearts of Lord Alexuis and Lady Silvia when her sweet, crisp child-like voice reached them.
" It is this purity of yours that has protected Lia's soul like a shield in that darkness, even in it's precious realm the darkness couldn't break through. " Lady Silvia recalled as she watched the little girl pray to them pouring all her heart. From above she sent all her blessings for both the children.
" Indeed.. And it is this very innocence of theirs that will lead them towards greatness." Lord Alexius added as he also sent his blessing to them.
The other gods also blessed them on their special day as they waited to be witnesses of what was to come next. The children who had for years prayed only for their mother to get well, was now finally going to meet her for the first time. What better present could they have on this special day then to see their only wish come true?
Totally oblivious of was going on in the heaven, the little girl continued with her prayer.
" God... Because today is my birthday, I want to make a small request. This year when you are not so busy can you help us wake up our mommy? You know how my mommy is sick and can't wake up on her own. Father said that only you can help her wake up. Please God... Please help us!... I also want my mommy just like how my friends in school have their mommy. I promise...We will not cause anymore trouble. Please Dear God... Please.... Thank you God. Take care. Bye..." She ended her prayer with a sad note. Her voice dropped considerably with none of her previous joy or cheerfulness. In fact, hearing her voice anyone could tell that she was crying. For the past six years these two children have consistently prayed to the heavens hoping that someday God will have a moment to spare and would come to assist them.
They never once blamed anyone for their lack, they only ever asked for some help.
But nothing happens before time or beyond the scope of destiny. It's just that they weren't aware of their goddesses grandmother's master plan in which they were the biggest players and her game changers.
Lia felt someone was tearing her soul apart when she heard her daughter's choked crying voice. She was full of guilt and remorse once again. Tears rolled down as she desperately tried to call the girl however, her voice was still inaudible and hoarse.
The girl finished her prayer when she suddenly remembered something.
" Oh! God wait a minute! My brother is still sleeping, I'll go wake him up. He also has his prayers to say. " Saying this she hopped back into the room and immediately froze dead in her tracks.
On the queen size bed, beside her still sleeping brother she saw the impossible!
The woman who until last night was still under the sleeping spell, was now sitting on the bed in tears, looking right back at her with open arms.
The little girl stared at the woman without a blink...
She was afraid that she was dreaming and that the woman would disappear if she blinked...
An array of expressions and emotions played on her little angelic face. From shock to confusion and finally realisation ; realisation of the fact that her prayers have finally been heard....
That she wasn't dreaming at all!
That this was real!
The little girl stood stunned with both her eyes and mouth wide open. She tried to say something but no word came out. As seconds passed by, big fat drops of tears started to roll down through her rosy pink cheeks.
Sitting on the bed, Lia was also momentarily stunned after she saw her daughter's face for the every first time. The little girl reminded her of her own mother, especially her eyes.
She opened her arms with a smile hoping that her daughter would come to her.
Sadly, that didn't happen and instead she saw big fat tears running freely down her daughter's face. Lia couldn't hold back herself anymore. Forcing herself to the extreme she tried to get out of bed. She knew well that she was in no condition to do so but, she didn't care.
Just then Surbhi rushed into the room, picked up the little girl and placed her on Lia's lap.
Haviing her daughter within her reach Lia immediately pulled her into her embrace and kissed away her tears.
Engulfed in a warm hug and showered with endless kisses the little girl was even more stupefied.
" M-mommy....." The little girl called out in her trembling voice.
" Mommy is sorry ..."
" Mommy....."
" Mommy is really sorry... "
" Mommy... " The little girl clung to her mother and cried uncontrollably.
All her waiting, all those lonely times, all her prayers, all came back to her in flash.
Lia's heart was crying tears of blood upon seeing her daughter crying so hard. " Mommy is sorry... Mommy is really sorry, sweetheart. "
Surbhi looked at the mother-daugther pair with gentle eyes. She knew exactly how Lia was feeling at the moment. After all, she too was a mother.
Previously, she had purposely excused herself and left the room when she saw the girl waking up to give them some privacy and was watching everything from the ajar door. She thought she wouldn't need to step in however, when she saw that Lia was trying to get out of bed in order to stop the girl from crying she had no choice.
Meanwhile, all the commotion woke up the sleeping boy beside Lia.
