The real world was boring and no one was there willingly. The only thing people did there was work, and eat. Where did people spend the rest of there time? The answer would be in a game. For almost everyone this was there real world and the one they spent the most time in. Verous was the name of this world. There was a young man who in this world and was using a self made pod to play. He was playing and suddenly blacked out to wake up in a cabin he used to be alone in Verous. However he discovered that he was no longer a player and was an NPC.

I'm an NPC

After Aurora left the bank he let out of sigh.


"Talking and acting like an NPC sure is hard work."


Now that Aurora didn't have the quest punishment to worry about he decided to go and level up. Although the area around Blue Star city didn't have many monsters if one went far enough the amount of monsters easily tripled.


Aurora was going to a nearby forest filled with wolves and goblins of level 5 to 10. Auroras base attributes were much higher than any other player or monster. Even at level 0 he could take on a level 10 epic boss by himself.


There were 3 reasons for this. The first was that NPCs had much higher stats than players. The second was that monsters had the highest stats and dragons were the strongest monsters. The third reason was because his body was made from a Heavenly Dragon and then enhanced which gave him a boost in attributes. He was also an NPC which would get a boost to their attributes as well.


For these reasons he was 100 times stronger than a player of the same level not including skills and equipment. But this was not all, as he had a monsters skills which no player could use he had an even greater advantage. Of course this amount of power came with a price. 


The stronger a creatures base attributes the more EXP it would require to level up. In Auroras case this amount was also multiplied by 100. A player had to gain 50 EXP to reach level 1 but Aurora had to gain 5,000 EXP.


Although this seemed like a lot, for Aurora it was a trivial matter. He had created countless NPCs that he had to level up and also skills and items too. He had the items and strategy to gain over 5,000,000 EXP at level 0 in about 2 hours.


Aurora went into the forest and used a scroll that attracted high level creatures to him for a time. He then used a speed scroll and ran around the forest like a madman for the next hour or so with a tidal wave of monsters behind him.


Many of these monsters were elite monsters and bosses. Aurora took out another scroll and chanted an incantation and a black orb shot into the closest wolf. The goblins laughed as nothing happened to the wolf but as they were about to attack Aurora the wolf exploded. Every monster the wolfs blood touched soon exploded as well until there were no monsters remaining.


"Cursed blood explosion worked as expected. Not even level 30 elite monsters could resist this spell."


Aurora continued with the same plan in a level 25 area and gained more levels until he was level 30. Skills in Verous needed EXP to level up but because his were very powerful they cost a lot more EXP than other skills. Skills had a max level of 10 and each level up for a skill the EXP for the next level would be 5 times the previous level. 


Aurora used 15 levels worth of EXP to level all his skills to level 2 before he was satisfied with his stats. 


Skills: Heavenly Dragon Form level 2: Active skill. User transforms into Heavenly dragon form. All attributes +40% and +60% defense  when in Heavenly Dragon Form. Consumes 1,000 mana.


Heavenly Dragons Wrath level 2: Active skill. Enemies within 300 meters of take 5,500 damage every 6 seconds. Consumes 10,000 mana. Duration: 2 minutes. Cooldown: 10 minutes.


Heavenly Dragons Armor level 2: Active skill. Produces Heavenly Dragon scales on humanoid body boosting defense by 50%. Consumes 250 mana.


Heavenly Dragons Aura level 2: Active skill. -10% all attributes for enemies in a 5x5 meter range at a maximum of 5 levels above the user. Consumes 800 mana per minute.


Berserk level 2: Active skill. All attributes +75%. Consumes 1,000 mana every 30 seconds. 


Birth of Magic level 2: Passive skill. Take 10% less damage from all magic attacks.
