CHAPTER 9 STRANGERS

( As the battle dies down, Cyko who's been bruised lays exhaustedly on the floor but manages to rise up, bek does the same and helps maze and Greg. They all stare confusedly to the utter ruins of the building. They see rho who seems to be sad while carrying Kuvlad's body and rushes to get him. As Rho keeps silent for a while he opens up and tells them of kuvlad's demise, Anna whimpers extensively, but the others didn't understand why she would show such reaction to someone she doesn't really know. Greg senses something and gets closer to Kuvlad, he casts a spell on him to check if he's really dead, Greg's eyes glows, and he sees kuvlad's soul leaving but he draws it back with spells, he succeeds in saving kuvlad and reveals to them that Kuvlad mildly escaped death. Rho's mood brightens as he hears the news, he asks for a solution to make Kuvlad better, Greg discloses that he may die if not being properly taken care of, he offered to take them to some people who can treat him)

GREG: I suggest you take him to the sterix downtown.

CYKO: (asks in surprise) you know where others are?

GREG: Not many, just two and they are my friends.

MAZE: This is good news

BEK:…. Indeed….and given that we no longer have a place to stay, be better get going.

GREG: But I'm afraid I won't go with you guys.

BEK: Why?

GREG: "A mage's work is never finished" but I'll be back whenever you need me.

BEK: But how are we supposed to get there?

(Greg casts a spell and gives Bek a written note)

GREG: The location and everything you need to know is there, and their names are bleach and scatter.

MAZE: Bleach and scatter?

GREG: Yeah,

CYKO: They are our friends too, we planned on going there.

GREG: Wow nice but I wont be leaving with you guys.

CYKO: Thanks for your help.

GREG: It's no big deal, I did it for my friend.

BEK:….And thanks for that.

GREG: Just take Kuvlad to them, they can help him.

RHO: Thanks a lot.

(They all leave to their respective destinations)

MEANWHILE AT HOME

(Maria and the twins are in the hospital, she covers the twins who are sleeping and sits on a chair beside Jerry's bed, she gets engrossed in her thoughts that she forgot the written note Mavis gave her, she gets thirsty and gets up to grab a cup of water, she sips from the bottle to quench her thirst, then she remembers the letter that was given to her by her daughter, she brings it out from her pocket and gently sits down to read it. The letter starts with a salutation, [being that there was no reason for dates] it points out the reasons for Mavis mysterious disappearance from the house, but she doesn't disclose the secret [Being whiz], but it states she left to meet her elder brother Micheal for an important reason, the closure goes with a remarkable heartwarming statements which Mavis wrote, telling her mother how much she loves her, she tries to explain to her mother the reasons she should let go of the grudges on her brother Micheal being that he's also family. Maria smiles with a tear rolling down her eye and stares through the window)

AT ENGLAND

(Mavis settles down, she discusses with Michael about their family and points out the reason why she came, Micheal volunteeres to call a friend to take custody of his brother)

MAVIS: Well through the portraits on the wall I can figure that you don't live alone.

MICHAEL: (Chuckles) yeah I live with a friend, actually he's my colleague.

MAVIS: Wow nice, this house is wonderful brother!

MICHAEL: (chuckles) nah it's nothing sis.

MAVIS: I'm telling you it is, and the cars?

MICHAEL: It's all ours.

MAVIS: Wow hope I'll get mine.

MICHAEL: (smiles) come on sis, lemme take you to your room.

(They both leave, Micheal takes Mavis to her room so she can freshen up, he shows her how everything works and leaves to the living room, and then a car honks in distance, he smiles knowing that his friend is back, he sits and waits for his friend. He gets inside and hugs his friend..)

MICHAEL: Hey Josh

JOSH: My favorite man!

MICHAEL: You said you be home early,

JOSH: I am.

MICHAEL: You're not, your two hours late!

JOSH: Relax man, I had a date with a cool girl, but it was tragic though.

MICHAEL: That's what you always say, go change.

JOSH: (Chuckles) you're saying this cause you don't like women, or men, or anybody, you never go to dates and you never let girls date you, well I'm a free spirit, I do what ever I want (laughs)

MICHAEL: You're drunk Joshua, go get changed, I want you to meet my sister.

JOSH: (Laughs) oooh me likey. I hope she's beautiful.

MICHAEL: Lets go up, I wonder how you drove your self to this place.

(Michael drags him to his room. They all get ready, Micheal goes to get his sister downstairs, Joshua sits and waits for her arrival in great anticipation.)

MICHAEL: Joshua Lenard, meet my sis Mavis.

(Josh let's out a great smile but immediately he sees mavis' face he gets suspicious, Mavis gets surprised on seeing the man, she gets caught in an awful situation..)

(Whiz communicates to Mavis telepathically)

WHIZ: (Gasps) isn't that..... the guy you stole his phone?

MAVIS: I Know, just act normal.

WHIZ: …You act normal, I have nothing to do with this.

(Josh approaches)

JOSH: Hi Mavis.

MAVIS: Hi josh

(They both shake)

JOSH: You are very beautiful,

MAVIS: Thanks

JOSH: Your brother has told me a lot about you, and you seem pretty familiar to me, have we met before..

MAVIS: (Shudders) No, never, not in this world, I mean place or anywhere.

(Whiz: get ur ass together!)

JOSH: Yeah, sorry maybe I had too much to drink..

MICHAEL: (Cuts in) Yeah you drank a lot, now let's eat, but first I'm gonna go prepare the meal…

(Michael leaves, and Josh tries to start up a conversation with Mavis...)

(Whiz: you gotta leave before things get ugly and he recognizes you..)

MAVIS: Uhm Josh, I would like to assist my brother, so we'll chat later.

(She leaves and Josh goes to his room in confusion, Mavis gets to the kitchen and See's her brother cooking..)

MAVIS: So how'd you learn to cook?

MICHEAL: School, I had an interest in becoming a chef but dad won't let me, but I show off, my great skills at home.

MAVIS: (Chuckles) At least you never gave up on it.

MICHAEL: Yeah I didn't, you know, I'm really glad that you're here, it makes me feel complete.

MAVIS: (Chuckles) I'm here for you brother.

(Whiz: and also cause you're running away from the police)

MAVIS: If you need me Micheal I'll be in my room.

MICHAEL: Ok

(Mavis leaves)
