Food Festival

After walking for 10 minutes, we arrive at the festival area and I can see there are lots of people and so many food stalls. There's also live music, a child's playground and a river near the location of the festival. I walk to one of the stall and it's a grilled squid stall. I buy 2 plate of grilled squid and give it to Noah.

"Thank you."

He takes the plate and eat the squid and so do I. It tastes really good and the squid is so fresh. It's one of the best grilled squid that I've ever had.

"It's so good, isn't it?"

"It is. Anyway, I want to show you something, come with me."

He takes me to a drinking stall and he ask me to wait so I wait near the stall and I can feel something fast moving through my feet. I look down and see nothing, maybe it's just a squirrel so I ignore it. Noah come back with 2 glass of drink and he give a glass to me.

"What is this?"

"Something green, milky and creamy."

"Matcha~!"

I drink the glass and I'm so happy, the matcha is not that sweet and it's so creamy. I smile happily to Noah then finish the drink.

"It's so good."

"I know."

"I'm still hungry, Noah. Let's buy something else."

I see a food stall that's crowded then I walk through the crowd to the stall and it's a noodle stall. I bet they make a very good noodle because it's the most crowded stall in the festival. I queue to order the noodles and when it's finally my turn to order I look at the menu and I'm surprised with the price. They sell noodle with lobster for 40 Euro and when I look at the bottom side of the menu I see an affordable dish which is just a noodle with chicken but still quite expensive for me because they sell it for 15 Euro. I look at everyone who eat near the stall and almost everyone order the noodle with lobster.

"Um. . . can I have a bowl of lobster noodle please?"

"Wait, let me check."

The cashier ask the cook whether they still have enough lobster in the fridge and the cook nods.

"Yes, you're lucky, young lady because there's only one portion left."

Then the cashier announce to the crowds, "Everyone! We're out of lobster so if you want to order the lobster noodle please come back later. I will ask someone to deliver the lobster."

Because of the announcement, the crowd dispered and there are only 4 people left standing behind me, waiting for their turn to order noodle. I can conclude that almost everyone want to try their lobster noodle and I'm getting curious with the dish.

I take out my wallet and pay for the noodle then I move to the pick up counter and wait there. I look around try to spot Noah in the crowd and I find him. Once I get my noodle, I walk to Noah and show him the lobster noodle.

"I thought you want to order something that's not high-priced."

"I'm curious with this, this lobster noodle."

"Try it."

"You don't want to taste it?"

"No."

I try the noodle and I immediately regret it. The noodle is pretty tasty, the lobster is good but the broth taste awful for me.

"Jace told me that it's not worth the price."

"I agree."

I finish the noodle and left the broth then throw it away. Yuck.

"So, are you full?"

"I still have room for sweet dessert."

"Before we go for dessert, I want to try something first."

He take me to a stall and I read the name of the stall. 'Pick one and you have to eat it. If you finish it, you don't need to pay'. What a weird name for a stall. We reach the stall and there are lots of small plates covered with cloche lid cover.

"What is this?" Noah ask the staff.

"Welcome, please choose one and here's the rule. Once you choose it, you can't change your selection. You need to finish everything on the plate then we won't charge you. BUT if you can't finish it, you need to pay 30 Euro for that. If you're lucky, you will find an extravagant dish and if you're not, you will face a disgusting food."

I look at Noah and he looks excited. He point at one of the lid and the staff ask him whether he want to change his selection or not. He answer firmly,

"No. I choose this dish."

The staff open the lid and I almost throw up. It's a small glass with something on the bottom. It's like a water but with some additional things inside.

"Congratulation, you get a baby mouse wine."

"A what?" I exclaimed,

"Baby mouse wine."

"Noah, don't drink it."

Noah takes the glass and when he's about to drink it, I take it and throw it away then I give the staff 30 Euro and I take Noah with me. He looks surprised with what I did. I just don't want something bad happen to him.

"Sera?"

". . ."

"Sera."

"You stupid. Don't drink something like that."

"But that's what I get, I need to drink it."

"You can choose not to drink it."

"But I don't want to pay. . ."

"If you want to get stomachache or something because of that drink then just go back and ask for it. I don't care."

I leave him and I run to the river side. When I get to the river side, I sit on the grass and do nothing. I got so angry because of Noah, because he want to do something stupid. I close my eyes and try to calm myself then I slowly open my eyes and see a bird in front of me. I smile to the bird and try to touch it. The bird walk closer to me and suddenly it looks terrified and it fly away.

"Huh?"

I suddenly hear a male's voice behind me and he say my name.

"Miss Sera."
