Chapter 19 : Continues breakthrough.

As Nie Li surveys the Ancient Orchid City's perimeters, looking for any of the two entrance of the underground tomb, a small group of Blue Armed Apes had spotted him.

It shouldn't be a problem dealing with these small amount of Silver Rank Demon Beast considering how strong Nie Li was but these damnable Apes are quite smart. They quickly called out for their other fellows without hesitation.

The Blue Armed Apes maintained a significant distance away from Nie Li. They expertly used the trees and the house's ruins to nimbly move around as if making fun of him.

" Damnable monkeys, this grandpa has no time dealing with you. Your meat isn't even tasty.. " Nie Li didn't want to waste his time here dealing with these small fry monkeys. He entered one of the ruined buildings nearby and used it as cover before entering his spatial garden.

Nie Li reappeared 10 meters away from that place he's in just a few seconds ago. He looked at the Blue Armed Apes in the distance and saw that they are still looking at the ruined house he entered before. They are very cautious and didn't get near the place.

" Heh! Dumb monkeys. " Nie Li muttered before silently leaving the place.

These monkeys are too cautious. Nie Li isn't releasing any hint of auras in him but these Blue Armed Apes still called their fellows instead of immediately rushing to him? Just how cautious can they be? He should only be a young small human in their eyes right now so.... why?

Nie Li first planned to exterminate all of this monkeys in one fell swoop but seeing how they act very stupidly cautious towards him, forced Nie Li to totally cancel that plan. He definitely won't chase after these damn monkeys one by one just to kill them. He is too lazy for that.

Nie Li continue searching around the place entering different kinds of wealthy looking buildings that are still intact as he's curios what they look like, what's in it and how they are made. He's from a modern world after all so Nie Li can't help himself but be curious about these ruins. He found it very fascinating.

4 hours later, Nie Li finally saw what he's for - The Ancient Orchid City's Academy.

Nie Li picked up a few stone columns near him and throws it on the Academy Fields. Each colums hits the ground heavily, sending the first and stone in the air, creating deep craters on the ground.

Nie Li nodded his head, satisfied with the results. " This is a lot more faster than digging. There should be no problem of collapsing the place as long as I controlled my strength. "

He continue throwing more stones in the field clearing all the dirts in it. Half an hour later, Nie Li found a concrete like platform. He lifted it up and a staircase appeared in front of him.

" Found you. "

Nie Li slowly made his way down.

There should be no traps here in this stairs but he still choose to be careful. Being strong didn't give him extra life after all so he chose to be careful.

It's a total darkness inside, Nie Li took out a torch from his spatial garden and lit it up.

" Woah... these are pure golds right? Haha.. not bad. " In front of him lies a huge amount of gold coins, gems and other treasures like armors and weapons. They are piled up with each other forming hills of treasures. A very satisfying scenery.

Nie Li isn't short with money. He also has a lot of High Level Herbs inside his spatial garden if he wanted to and those herbs worth a lot more than all of these treasures combined. Yet, Nie Li was still moved by the amount of these treasures because... most of them are made out of gold and gems after all!

As a person from a modern earth and only came here for a few days, Nie Li's mindset still hasn't adapted completely.

Nie Li then started to sort these treasures before putting them all inside his spatial garden.

" I think that's what I'm looking for.. " Nie Li walked towards one of the columns.

It's the Shadow Lamp. The one that contains the Shadow Demon Spirit inside. He also put it inside his spatial garden.

After clearing the entire place clean, Nie Li began walking around the walls trying to find the hidden contraptions.

" Found you. "

Nie Li pushed the wall and it opened. A long and dark tunnel welcome him. This place is huge and tricky, just like a maze. If not for the memories he got from his predecessors, Nie Li should have long lost his direction.

This place is scary but also beautiful and majestic. Nie Li can't help but wonder how long did it took to build up this place... probably very long.

But on second thought, people in this world is even capable of creating worlds and realms so this kind of place isn't that surprising right?

It didn't take long before Nie Li stepped into another underground room.

Walking into the hall, the scene before him made Nie Li uncomfortable. Bones were everywhere around this hall. There were bones of adults as well as bones of children. They were densely stacked together. It seemed like they had a painful struggle before they died. He didn't know what really happened to those elderly, woman, and children, but they probably had died from starvation.

Nie Li didn't let this scene affect him more than that. He began looting the remains taking away all their valuable items.

" That stone coffin.. " Nie Li muttered.

At the center of the hall lies a huge stone coffin that was three meters long and about one meter in height. The surface of the coffin was covered with mysterious incarnations. Those incarnations were quite familiar, but he was unable to recognize it out.

Tap tap tap.

Nie Li carefully approaches the stone coffin that silently lies in the middle of the hall. He circled around inspecting it. After awhile, Nie Li took out a bottle of Demon Beast blood and a few red stones. He pounded the the red stones into fine powder before mixing it with the Demon Beast Blood.

Scribble scribble..

Nie Li started writing inscriptions on the floor surrounding the stone coffins. It took him around 30 minutes before he's finally done and tossed aside ethereal bottle.

Taking a couple of deep breaths to prepare himself, Nie Li started preparing. He didn't touch the stone coffin immediately as he knows that will be moronic. Only when he made sure that he's fully prepared did he finally touch it.

Tap.

Nie Li placed his hand on top of the coffin.

" Hnng!!! "

In a blink of an eye, a pillar of white energy fully enveloped his body. It continue going upwards towards the ceiling but before the white light can do so, it was blocked by a barrier preventing it from dissipating.

Fuck! I already expected that it will feel terrible but it's still more than that!? Is it angry because I contained it all here?

Nie Li gritted his teeth in pain. It's very painful for him as if his skin are being torn apart manually.

No. Can't let these energy go to waste...

Clearing his thoughts, Nie Li directed all the energy into his Soul Realm.

4 Star Silver Rank...

5 Star Silver Rank....

Boom!

Nie Li broke through to Gold Rank.

And it didn't stop there as there's still quite a huge amount of white energy around him. Nie Li continue absorbing them all..

Only when he reached 4 Star Gold Rank Demon Spiritist did his cultivation stopped increasing as all the white energy had been emptied by him.

Gulp gulp gulp.

Nie Li quickly took out 5 water containers and emptied 3 of them before he finally stopped.

" Hoah! That's very refreshing.. I didn't expect I'll be able to break through a lot of times just like that.... " Nie Li muttered to himself. " But why can't I still feel that thing in my soul realm? I'm already a Gold Rank Demon Spiritist but I still can't feel a thing about it... Just what am I still lacking? "

Nie Li fell into deep thoughts. He knows that there should be something inside his Soul Realm that should absorbed most of the white energy he got just now but... there's none! He can't understand why.

Did that Goddess played tricks with him?

" Guess I'll put that aside first now. I have to integrate with that Shadow Demon Spirit first. "
