Approximately one year later.
Someone covered in a brown robe walked into a large barren land as the robe fluttered in the wind, blue magic swirling around it. Under the robe, a rough shoe stepped on the floor and kicked up some dust, the foot that followed was shiny and metal and created a heavy footprint on the floor. But when the foot lifted, a strange blue wind swirled around the foot and the dirt crawled back, covered the imprint. An uncontrollable blue wind swirled around the entire person. In the wake of his steps, grass sprouted and grew, vegetations and flowers trailed him, following the massive, rustic sword on his back.
Nadaho, who had grown a little taller and now had a large wound going from his left temple to his chin, hopped off Eddie while looking at the trail of greenery leading away and asked, "where did Zeeth go?"
'To tie up some loose ends,' Page replied, who had his eyes closed and didn't move a muscle when he spoke, sending it telepathically.
"Eddie want cookie!!" Eddie yelled. He hadn't changed too much, still the same size and mentality. Without the smarts, it wasn't easy to grow, he was somewhat like the slimes. He was actually so alike many of them had accepted Eddie as one of their own and allowed him to hop around and drink water with them.
At the end of the trail, Zeeth took off the hoodie of the robe to get a clearer view of the thing in front of him. It was beautifully carved and molded into a large rock in the shape of a bird. An especially, cuddly and fluffy one at that. Under the bird was a single rock that read "Cuddles" and circles carved into the sides to provide the rocks with self-cleaning and protection services. The greenery that grew around him stopped where he stopped, but at a single move of his hand, the grass reached to the sides and covered the grave for Cuddles.
"I swear to protect and raise your children, Cuddles. I wonder who the father is. I wish you could've shown me how to take care of them before you left, but I will try my best." Zeeth said somberly to the tombstone.
Dealu leaned in and whispered to the group, "don't tell master this, but I think this is the happiest he's ever been with a student."
"Really?" Elton asked.
"Yes, all the monks think so. He's usually all stoic even when the others leave for their own adventures. But Zeeth was the first student he's ever expressed so much emotion with. Even if it's not always happy, he's more alive than ever. I don't know what it is about this student, but he draws out emotion from a monk."
Zeeth made bushes grow from the sides and turned around. A massive pair of purple scaled wings burst from his back and for a short moment, the face of smiling slimes stared out from under the wings and showed it grasping him while its wings flapped, generating powerful gusts of wind that flew them up into the air. Some chaos magic flew out but the nature mana from Leaf balanced it out, causing no change. He flew, majestically and weightlessly into the air, cutting through the wind like a speeding bullet as the wings beat off the air and threw them all forward. He landed at the monk's place, using a rushing torrent of water to stop himself. His wings folded back in and shrunk down while the water dissipated, returning the magic to himself.
"You've grown." the monk said as Zeeth walked in.
"You too. Just older."
"Damn punk." He smiled, "Get out there and prepare to fight Rah."
Zeeth swung his sword out and used a slime to shoot it into the sky like a grappling hook, flinging himself towards Rah. In front of the dome stood hundreds, possibly a thousand people all waiting for Rah to awake. monks stood to the side along with reporters and viewers simply trying to watch the once in a century show instead of fighting. Everyone was heavily armed with weapons or magic and beneath him, he saw the monk running along. When he landed the monk stopped and said to him, "Zeeth, I should introduce you to my four other disciples."
There were four others nearby, three girls and a guy. One of them had her black hair covering half her face as she sat back on a rock, glancing over at him. Another girl with pink nails held herself in a ball of water playing with some other bubbles, another girl was using water to hover herself in the air with air and the guy had the other half of his face covered with long hair. They all had their own features but every one of them had one similar trait. They were all lazily sitting around as nothing mattered. Even their eyelids rested halfway as they studied him.
"Yeah, new student, huh? Just don't get in my way," the girl in the bubble said.
"Why are there so many people?" the girl with half her face covered sighed.
"Because everyone wants to be the first to kill it without dying." the other man responded.
"It was rhetorical! Gahd, I just don't like people!"
people all around them whispered and stared in awe, pointing at the four. a woman holding an orb said to it, "and here are our four heroes, our one and only hope, the four students personally trained by the greatest guardian monk of our time!" she ran up to them, holding the orb and asked, "how does it feel to have the weight of all our hopes on your shoulders as the next greatest defenders of the world against Rah?"
"This is why I don't like others."
"alright..." the reporter hesitantly pulled back but continued, "and is it true that there has been a fifth student? but this mystery student has only been here a short time, is this person ready to fight?"
A loud wave of murmuring rushed from the front and he could see Rah moving just a little.
"Yes. I think he is," Zeeth said.
He and the other four stayed back along with the other monks while the reporters back away, following their advice since the first wave of people usually consisted of those who were overconfident, bordering stupidity, and were needlessly reckless. They had a one hundred percent death rate and only caused confusion and wreckage amongst those who get mixed in and the monks can't do anything about them since they go too far in too fast. Monks stayed behind and jump in to take out the dead bodies and clean up after battles but their main abilities were defense-related, monks had nearly no attacking ability but their focus on defense and metal made them perfect for guarding Rah, that sweats iron and is stuck in one area.
Hundreds of people swarmed into the barrier the moment Rah woke up. He had asked why they didn't simply cut Rah up and dispose of it before it awoke, but they tried and failed. The moment the hundred-year timer came up, all the body parts and magic collected back together to form the beast and allow it to awake once again so they don't try anymore.
And as he expected, everyone attacked but nothing injured Rah. swords bounced off, magic dispersed from its skin, hot metal flew around and burned people. Its eyes jumped open and its many pupils dilated or grew depending on who it was looking at. A tongue whipped out, slicing and bashing people all around. Monks dashed in with their metal to hold the unconscious or dead people and scoop them towards the entrance that was kept open for this purpose. Hundreds more stayed behind to watch the tragedy unfold.
'How do these people not learn how strong this thing is? All these lives wasted.'
'Fame and riches far overpower these foolish minds.' said Black, 'many of them simply may not have enough to live for and this is better than any alternative.'
'But it's such a waste. They don't even tire it out.' hundreds of attacks landed on Rah, ice that froze its legs in place, fire that burned the inside of its mouth, entire volleys of rocks and spikes that targetted its eyes, but nothing had any effect. Rah swung its tail around, throwing fifty soldiers into the barrier that were scooped out of the dome.
A hairy captain yelled to his men, "Soldiers, as soon as they clear out, rush in to take care of it. We will kill it this century!!"
His soldiers saluted and held their magic spears in preparation.
A tall woman in long blue armor tapped her finger onto her screen, showing it to a ragtag group of people, "Mercenaries of Vonnear, this is the plan. If all goes according to this, we will all live and…"
She stopped talking when she saw Zeeth and stared at his weapon. Her eyes glowed yellow and she froze. 'What the hell… what kinda weapon is that?'
"Captain?" one of her teammates asked but she held up a finger to shush them and tapped Zeeth shoulder.
"Sir, may I ask where, or, I mean, the weapon, what's the origin? Do you know who made it?"
"Hmm? Uh, yeah, I do."
"Oh, wha- could you… could you tell me who?"
"why?"
Zeeth looked at her spear, [First Class Magic Spear. durability(300/300) A Great Spear created by Budfal and gifted to the mercenaries of Vonnear trained to kill Rah. Creators note: one of the best weapons money can buy. Attack: 2,000

During the year, he made a few adjustments to the sheath swords, including many additions to help with water attacks. His skills with blacksmithing and circle creation had dramatically improved, Page told him he was growing exponentially rather than linearly or even slowing down like everyone else for whatever strange reason. But he knew it was likely because of the great foundation the Dwarves records gave him, giving him the foundation into weapons creation that couldn't've been better without a god along with all the great opportunities he's had to experience and enjoy creating circles and the excellent material to learn from, mainly the table.
She must've seen the contents of the sword and wanted to somehow acquire it. But Rah was growing impatient as the number of people ran out so Zeeth replied, "Let's talk about this later, there's something more urgent."
She gazed at Rah and rushed back to her teammates, quickly explaining the plan. The four other disciples watched it unfold but upon hearing Zeeth they also decided it was time for them to fight as well, rushing into the barrier. Rah stomped around, its spikes covered in blood and armor as well as a few bodies. Rah tried breaking the barrier, whipping and bashing it with its body but the barrier stretched and bounced back like a rubber ball, unfazed by its attacks. The four rushed in, blasting the monster with their own variations of water. The two with half their faces covered created a mist around Rah's many eyes while the girl in the bubble trapped the mist in a large bubble while wrapping much of its body with bubbles. The last girl created long whips of water embedded with icicles that wrapped around the beast's belly and legs
As they tried to tug it down. The confusion caused by the mist, bubbles, and whips caused Rah to stumble around and trip over itself, falling on its side.
People outside the bubble gazed up at the fallen body and the four flying around using water with a pause and cheered at the small victory.
"people did you just SEE that?! the four amazing people trained by the head monk himself have brought the monster DOWN!!" the reporters yelled into voice amplifying orbs that also recorded the entire situation. Orbs, Zeeth learned, could take in light and transmit it at a later date and the special ones can also record voice, the best of the best were here recording the battle.
The woman and her mercenaries rushed in with their own weapons. Four of them set up a single massive nail on Rah's body and the woman lifted a large black hammer as she flew through the air and struck the nail into the side. The massive nail dented the armor but something within the hammer moved and a second slam hit the nail even deeper, red blood gushed out and covered them all. The pain caused Rah to freak out and rampage, breaking the water whips and tossing the people holding the bail off of it.
"Ikala, use the second gear!!" a monk yelled to the woman holding the hammer, "it has the same force as Kezmerald's killer attack!"
One of the four disciples looked back at them and grinned, trying to show off her whips. "Why is she looking at us?" Zeeth asked.
"I told them that whoever was the most impressive would earn my gift."
"What's the gift? Why wasn't I offered that?"
"I was going to offer the same deal to you when you seemed like you needed a motivation boost but that never came. You constantly had an urge to grow and that's probably why you are the most impressive out of the five."
"So do I get the prize?"
"If you can show them that you are the most impressive."
Rah swung its tail up and a tongue flew through the bubble, striking down the four all at once in a feat of amazing luck and strength. everyone watching went from cheering and yelling to a sad, low murmur as the four were pulled out of the dome. reporters stopped talking, the orbs were lowered and people were saying, "are they dead?"
"That wasn't a strong hit."
"This is Rah, even if it didn't look like it, it probably is."
"kind of a letdown. I was hoping they would kill it."
"Then I better get to it." Zeeth hopped up and Meda's wings burst open, boosting him into the air so high he flew past the clouds and out of view. It was a relatively clear day with a few clouds rolling around, but within two seconds of flying up, more clouds collected, darkening the sky. They slowly gathered like sheep, turning from a few white clouds to one large grey cloud and finally into a dense black cloud. Thunder rumbled from it but there was still no sight of Zeeth. Everyone looked up at the rapidly changing weather wondering what was going on while the head monk simply smiled and stared at Rah.
'Will this finally be the day Rah dies?' he asked himself. The clouds rumbled louder and faster until finally, the tension broke, and the center of the cloud, which was directly above Rah, dipped down like the funnel of a tornado. But the cause of the funnel was none other than… a slime?
A single rock-covered slime came flying down from the center of the cloud down on Rah's head, its rocks changing midair into a single drill. Speeding after it was Zeeth, flying down with the power of Meda and jets of water and fire blasting him down after Gul. his hand connected with Gul the moment they entered the barrier and water and fire from Mag forced him down even faster using the one-way barrier Gul began spinning when it connected with Zeeth's fist, and the rocks hit the wounded part from the black nail drilling it down into the hole. The nail was pushed further in, much to the demise of Rah, who thrashed and yelled even louder, causing the bubble that was drowning it to burst.
Zeeth jumped away to avoid the three tongues only coming after him now and used Mag to create heat waves and bounce himself back. Water from the cloud rushed down and wrapped around the tongues, freezing them to the floor.
'That won't hold it for long.' said Black.
'I know. But that's all I want.'
