Day 1 Time 0845
Faolan opened his eyes and was temporary blinded by the dim light as his eyes adjusted, he heard the woman and the man talking in the other room. Not paying them heed he gets up and sits on the edge of the bed. Shaking his head, he tries to clear the fog that is inside his mind. He feels the changes happening inside of his body. His muscles also seem to be more defined, he could also tell the colors were coming in crisper then before. Sighing he gets up and moves to the door to see what the doctor and man were talking about.
"We have to find a way out, just in case he turns out to be psychotic." The man nearly yelled at the woman.
"No we wait for him to wake up, he was set up as our final defense, we might as well utilize that." She responded calmly. She is the first one to notice that I am leaning on the doorframe with my arms crossed. She flashes me a smile, and turns to the man, "See I told you it would be fine."
"Well I'll be, but I still don't trust him, he betrayed his higher ups once, who says he won't do it again." The man complained. Faolan passes a glance at him, sighs and moves forward the pair.
"Look, as long as you don't order me to kill civilians, then your fine, I won't kill you. But, if you try to get me to silence anyone that I deem innocent, I will end your short life."
The man audibly gulps and moves father from me, I look at the doctor, "So what can I expect now that you put everything in me?" She looks at Faolan and goes to grab paper and pen.
"What changes do you feel within your body?" She starts questioning him, "Can I see your eyes? Can I take another blood sample?" She opens her mouth to ask another question and Faolan stops her.
"No blood, yes, and nothing noticeable yet, other then a slight twinge here and there." Faolan keeps his eyes open as she looks deep into his eyes, then nods to herself.
"Good, good. Your eye color did change but its odd." She started, when she didn't elaborate, Faolan raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean odd?" Faolan asked.
"Its changing, almost as if your eyes are a mood ring, first they were green, then slowly changed to black, then back to green. Hmm this will need to be looked more into. Are you sure I can't get a blood sample from you?" she asks again.
"Yes, I'm sure." Right after I said this she starts writing everything down on her paper, looks back up to me, "By the way your eye color is now purple, very interesting." I scoff at her.
"How about you finish telling me what happened." Faolan stated.
"Fine but soon we will need to leave, since they now know where we are." She replied.
Outbreak Day 0 Time 0545
Captain Maverick looked at Dr. Valencia with disgust, she had just informed him that there was no cure, nor was there a way to return his men back to normal. From what she knows of the serum, it goes to the mitochondria and forcibly changes the body from there. But how the process works is still unknown. His face is now red from anger, he walks away from the doctor. This can't be happening, he thinks to himself. He is highly infuriated at Dr. Cortez, for she single handedly destroyed almost everyone that was onboard his vessel. While he may the 10th captain that this vessel had known he did not want it to know him as its last.
"I need you two to go and wake up Snake and Lion, we will need their help to unf*ck this situation." Captain Maverick stated. Angel looks at Dr. Valencia and sighs.
"Come-on doc lets get going." Angel states as he starts to head towards the door, not waiting for Dr. Valencia to move with him.
"I hope you know that what we are up to may very well lead us to our deaths." Dr. Valencia mentioned to Angel, after catching up to him.
"Yea, trust me, I know, but this is what I was instructed to do." Angel replied.
Sighing, Dr. Valencia resigns herself to what she believes to be her death, and follows Angel out of the bridge. Thinking back to some of the images that she saw, she started to feel some excitement build up in her chest. She would have something new to examine. Her joy was short lived. As the duo entered the stairwell, for Angel stopped cold in his tracks, almost causing Dr. Valencia to crash into him. What was in the stair way scared them both.
On the wall there was what looked like a newborn scaling the wall. It had a cord that appeared to be attached to it, that trailed down the stars, farther then they could see. The body was maybe a foot in length, but the duo could see the claw marks in the steel walls where it had climbed. Its skin was blue in color, and that was all they could tell at this time. Angel raises his weapon and unleashes three volleys of plasma at the creature. All three volleys hit the back of the creature and it unleashes a cry the sounds inhumane and causes both individuals to hit their knees while clutching their ears, trying to block out the sound. The cry only lasted around thirty seconds but to the duo it felt like more time had passed. Once the pain had subsided the two looked at each other in shock, then at the thing that Angel had killed. But it was missing there was only drag marks where it was. They both breathed a sigh of relief, and were preparing to continue on down, when they heard something bellow beneath them.
"WHO HURT MY BABY!!!!!" a deeper than normal female voice rang out. Upon hearing this the duo felt ice go down their backs, Angel inched forward and peered down into the darkness. He scanned for a few seconds then inched back to Dr. Valencia.
"I think we should find another route down." He whispered to Dr. Valencia, to which she nodded. The two slowly moved back to the door and opened it and slid out through the crack that they made. Angel reached into his pocket and pulled out an odd looking tool, which he then struck the bottom of against the meat of his thigh. A bright blue flame came out and he set to sealing the door to ensure that nothing could come through and ambush them from behind. When he finished he went to look through the hole that served as a window. He then gave a shout as he fell back. What was 'staring' at him was a face of a young woman, it did not have eyes, and instead had what appeared to be feelers moving around the glass. The mouth on the creature kept moving but due to the door being completely sealed no sound came through. But what scared him the most was that, it seemed as if the head was floating. If it wasn't for him catching a glimpse a tentacle being attached to the back of the woman's head, he would have been none the wiser.
He quickly gets up and pushes Dr. Valencia away from the door and leads her down another path. As they make their way, a loud repetitive bang coming from the direction that they left. Quickening their pace, they come to another door and go into it. Luckily for them it was another stairway. Seeing that there were not any creatures in their line of sight, they start traversing down the stairs. The detour may have added how long it will take to get to the cryo chambers that Angel woke from but staying alive right now was paramount.
As they made their way down one of the doors that they passed slammed open, and they heard what appeared to be a scuffle happening on the floor above them. They did not stop to backtrack instead kept moving down the steps. They heard a cry of pain, followed by a loud sickening crunch. With an image of a human body being crushed, the duo quickly move through the next door they come across. And step onto a slick floor, almost causing them both to fall. They used each other to keep their balance and felt glad that they did. If they had fallen, their heads would have been impaled by bones that were pulsating in a fleshy webbing on the floor. Shivering, the duo slowly make their way to their destination.
