PS: LEO IS.....

To say Mia was embarrassed was an understatement. She was going to kill Leo the moment she saw him. Every eye turned to her immediately they entered the King's garden where the party was being held, and the eyes remained on her as they looked at the words on her shirt. Love was really blind and stupid. Because, why else would she willingly wear this shirt to this kind of occasion? And the worst part was, he hadn't told her there was also something written on the back of the shirt until she received it.

"Leo is the cuter twin?"

Mia heard a familiar voice and chuckled behind her before she turned. Louis was reading the writing on the back of the shirt. Yes, that was what was written on it.

"PS: LEO IS THE CUTER TWIN."

All in capital letters, as if he planned to humiliate the hell out of her.

"I can bet my career that THIS was Leo's idea." He said with a smile that caused her heart to skip a beat.

Damn her stupid heart! This was the reason she didn't like to appear before him. Somehow, he seemed to have such an effect on her, and it was all because she missed Leo so much. The corporate-causal outfit he was wearing reminded her of Leo whenever he had some kind of meeting to attend. His perfectly styled hair seemed to remind her that he was not Leo, since Leo would usually leave his messy.

"Stop looking at me like that." Louis said with a slight frown on his face, snapping her back to her senses. "I told you already. I won't suddenly materialize into Leo because you miss him so much."

Mia was flustered and she blushed. "I... wasn't thinking... you were." She stammered.

"Good. Because I want you to always think of me as me whenever we meet." He smiled.

"You don't ever change, do you?" She frowned at him.

"You mean?" He asked with a smile.

"You are flirting with me. It's creepy."

He laughed. A deep, sexy bass that made her heart flutter. "The old Mia wouldn't have known I was flirting. You've really transformed." He looked her up and down before adding,

"The last time we met, you told me you thought I was nice. You also said I didn't seem so creepy anymore."

"Because you helped me." She reminded him. "And you were very... professional." She said, remembering how he had pushed her to see a therapist and also made sure she took her meds. He had treated her like a patient and a friend.

"I guess." He smiled once more and dipped both hands into his pockets. "You are no longer my patient. And you've completely transformed this past year into..." He paused and winked at her before completing his sentence. "... my type."

"If you are trying to annoy me, it's working." She said with a frown and turned to escape from him, but he appeared in front of her.

"Is it that hard to be close to me?"

"You tell me." She said in a challenging tone.

"I get it." He nodded understandably. "Your boyfriend is away and you cannot stand being in the same space as his hot twin brother."

"Ha ha! Very funny." She replied sarcastically while rolling her eyes. "I wonder how you got to be a doctor like this."

"Simple. I'm good at my job." He shrugged.

"Mia Lucas."

The two turned when Mrs. King appeared with her husband.

Those two were the last people she wanted to meet. She would have preferred to meet Leo's grandparents, but unfortunately, they were out of the country.

Mrs. King looked her up and down, obviously not pleased with her choice of clothing. She wore jeans, black boots, with her hair down, aside from the turtleneck with all the writings. Unlike her, the others were dressed in corporate wear, and some even looked like they were attending business meetings.

"I see you came. Long time no see." Mr. King greeted.

Mia smiled at the two. "Thank you for having me. Lovely party you have here."

"And you thought to dress like that?" Mrs. King said, looking her up and down with displeasure on her face.

"Mum, be nice." Louis said in an unpleasant tone and received a glare from his mother.

"Can we talk? Privately." She said to Mia, who nodded. She had been correct about his mother not liking him.

The two men excused the women before Mrs. King started, "I see you have been doing well."

Mia still kept a polite smile on her face, saying, "I had no idea you had been keeping tabs on me. Thank you for your kind words."

Mrs. King laughed like she was amused. "I'm sure this attitude of yours must have gotten you to where you are now. I heard you are really close to Mr. Van Solomon." She smiled suggestively. "He helped you, didn't he?"

Mia's smile faltered, but she kept her polite tone, "Can I know what you are trying to insinuate, ma'am?"

The woman smirked at her before taking a step forward and spoke in a lower tone, "I am saying I know your type and what your like can do to get to the top. Is it to spite me?"

The smile completely disappeared from Mia's face. "You think too highly of yourself, ma'am. I do not know the kind of gossip you have been indulging yourself in lately, but I worked hard to get to the point I got to. If I was the type to do anything to get to the top, believe me, I would have been a big name a long time ago. Neither would I have been waiting around for my boyfriend's mother to offer me a job because I believe in the height my abilities can take me to." Mia retorted before smiling at the woman, "If you'll excuse me. I have some people to greet." She bowed her head a little and walked past the woman to meet some familiar faces she recognised through her line of work.
