"What mosquitoes?"

When Mia got to Leo's place in the evening, she found him in the kitchen cooking. She walked on her toes, trying to make as little noise as she could before she got to where he was standing and embraced him from behind. 

He flinched in surprise before exclaiming, "Jesus, Mia! You scared the hell out of me!" She chuckled and let go of him. She stood beside him on the counter but turned to face him while he continued throwing diced fruits into the blender.

"What are you making?" 

"Made spaghetti. Since it's your favourite. Currently making you smoothie." 

"Hmm.. aren't you husband material?" She teased. 

"Of course, I am." With a smile, he dropped his head to her lips and kissed her. 

"How was your outing?" Mia asked when they pulled away from each other.
