A messy banquet (3)

Ellie cried when she saw how much abuse was directed at her brother because of her. If she hadn't gotten into a fight, she wouldn't have hurt that boy and Jeremy wouldn't have been in front of her receiving slaps that he didn't deserve. Mrs. Vine seemed to have gone crazy. Seeing the blood on her son's hand flipped the mad switch on her head and began to make her act like a madwoman. 

One of the household helpers picked up the broken glass that had cut Will. No one knew where the glass had come from. The place was checked and cleared thoroughly, so how come someone missed this glass?

"It was a mistake!" Chloe said, standing in between Jeremy and Mrs. Vine, who was not having any of it. 

"Mum, calm down. It isn't a big deal." Will said, trying to stop his mother.

"Mistake? You call this a mistake?" She bellowed angrily while raising Will's hand.
