Three people sat down, quietly staring at each other.
"Explain." Noah's mother said, breaking the silence.
Noah looked at the two people seated across from him and wondered what he was supposed to say in this kind of situation.
"What happened back there?" His father chipped in.
With a sigh, Noah said, "I'm sorry. It's my fault. Don't you think I should be apologizing to the Blacks instead? We can always talk about this later." He said, looking worried.
"And you think they want to see you now?" His mother asked, frowning.
"I don't have a choice. I should have at least tried instead of letting you guys pull me from there. I feel like a coward." He complained.
"Because that is exactly what you are!" His mother yelled at him, startling both Noah and his father. It was rare for Christine to raise her voice so whenever she did, it made their hearts stop especially because of how high pitch her voice was.
