Home is wherever you are

Jeremy read the report in his hand in disbelief. He would have doubted that it belonged to her if her name wasn't printed on the form. 

He raised his head to look at her, and after one look at her face, he was convinced that this report was true. It wasn't made up.

He read the report again, not sure how he was supposed to feel or react. It was just too much for him to take in. Let's say he hadn't expected this, so it came as a shock. 

Chloe watched him closely, noting how surprised and confused he looked. Was he doubting the result? Was he doubting that he was responsible? Was he thinking that the pregnancy belonged to someone else? 

These thoughts filled her head as she waited for him to say something. Anything at all. 

Jeremy looked at where Ellie was sleeping before he began to approach the door to leave the room.
