Vows

Mia and Leo locked their arms together as they walked down the aisle, smiling at the guests who were clapping happily for them while they waved at the guests. 

It still felt surreal to her that this was her wedding. About 3 years ago, she was just a college student working several part-time jobs to pay off a debt she had nothing to do with. She was craving her mother's love, looking for her father and also her sister. She was looking forward to topping her class and also getting first place in the yearly dance competition.

Things hadn't gone smoothly for her. She cried, laughed, fell into depression, and met people who cared about her. She found her sister, found out the cause of her father's disappearance, and found out how her mother and sister had sold her off. 

She graduated as the valedictorian, could not get a job after all her efforts, finally got a good job, could buy the things she initially could not buy, and had a baby delivered to her.
