I Don't Do Friendships

"How's your school?" Asked Daddy.

"The usual Dad. Ugh! Specially now that finals were already approaching. But no need to worry, I can handle." I answered with a smile and started eating bread.

"That's our girl!" Dad proudly exclaimed.

I heard Mommy's chuckling, "here eat this pancake, your favorite." She put pancakes on my plate.

"Thanks mom." I gave her a wide smile, she really knew my favorites.

"You're not getting any younger Sweety and somehow I'm worried." She sighed heavily. "Next month will be your nineteenth birthday."

I smiled at that. I'm excited! Well, always.

We talked a few more things and then I'm off to school.

I am Mielle Ahneele Montreal, turning 19 next month and I have the best parents in the world. They're Kirstelle Montreal and Yuahn Montreal. I'm taking up medicine and I'm in my second year now.

AS I ENTERED our school I can see groups of students chatting, laughing, and walking around the campus. I bitterly rolled my eyes.

Well, I forgot to mention that I don't do friendships. I'm a loner, I know. I don't need any friends. Okay, I once had a friends back when I was a high school but they're all fake and plastic. They used me and... Never mind.

"Good morning Mielle!" She cheerfully greeted me as I entered the classroom.

I ignored her and sat at my chair next to her. Tsk.
