Chapter 34: I'm A CEO But I'm Not Perfect

"Alright we are done with this period crap... let's prepare for your presentation..." Louie strictly said to me.

Louie and I are sitting over in a corner while Sungah is still doing her job, making the schedule for Louie while Luther seems to be reading a book, and Greg is just minding his own business.. he gives me the occasional glances... giving me a smile before turning back to what he is doing.

Whenever we try to study for the presentation Sungah and the others would often be a distraction that's why we decided to sit in a different corner of the cafe...

"Do keep in mind that this is a very important meeting... So I want you to take this with a serious tone got it? You are a C.E.O so I'm sure you can present right?" He asked me.

"Of course. I can present... I present things all the time... although I'm not sure... with this one..." I said timidly.

"Ugh. Let's do it over again... LISTEN carefully."

We've been studying this for 20 minutes now... and I still haven't memorized it.. usually when I present... I make the data that's why it's really easy for me but having someone else do it and then I presenting it is very hard for me...

I struggled more and more with it...I can see Louie's face slowly turning more and more frustrated...

"It's! I forgot! What's the name of the investor again. I'm really bad at memorizing names... especially in such a short time..." I apologized

"Read it again! You are so blind! Do you need a check-up or something!"

"Listen... I'm sorry I'm trying my best to memorize this but like I said it's impossible for me to do a flawless performance with this short limited of time... Okay? I'm not sure okay..." I pleaded.

His eyes widen turning into a scowl. "WHAT! HOW ARE YOU NOT SURE! IF YOU MESS UP YOU ARE GOING TO HUMILIATE ME! I'll be a fucking laughing stock." He shouted his voice which got the attention of everyone in the cafe.

What is this guy's mood swings?! Why is he so gun holed in making this performance perfect...

As everyone stared at us... Greg stood up from his seat slowly approaching us in a concerned manner.

"Is everything going okay here? You guys seem to be yelling and screaming a lot. It's getting the attention of a lot of people." Greg chimed in with a deep voice.

"I'm fine Greg... thank you for checking.." I said timidly.

"Right..." He walked away...

"Why are you acting like this is the end of the world for you or something? I know that you like perfection for your performances but why in this degree?" I asked him...

He rolled his eyes. "If I hadn't been switched with you... I would be able to do this myself but clearly YOU AREN'T THAT DEDICATED! You don't even care about the presentation..." He yelled and got all over my face.

"I DO care okay! I'M TRYING MY BEST AND YOU YELLING AT ME IS NOT HELPING OUR SITUATION! YOU DON'T JUST TREAT ME POORLY LIKE WHAT YOU DID IN HIGHSCHOOL."

I immediately regretted it... shutting my mouth off... he looked at me dumbfounded.

"Sir, Ma'am... I will ask that you leave the premises... your constant screaming is an annoyance to the customers..." One of the baristas asked us to leave...

We nodded slightly before grabbing our things... Greg and the others noticed and joined along as we all walked out of the cafe...

"Good job getting us kicked out of the cafe...there's like literally free wifi there." Sungah crossed her arms annoyed.

"When is Grace's next appointment?" Louie asked sternly.

"Actually... as of now... Grace is pretty open... although she has a meeting with the graphic designers at 2 PM... and dinner with the Anderson Company..." Sungah answered.

"Great..." Louie grabbed my hand and started dragging me...

"Wait! Where are we going?!" I asked puzzled as to where he is taking me.

"We have time... for your next appointment so let's focus on this one... We are going to my house." He said.

"WAIT! I'm NOT READY YET!" He ignored my pleading straightly taking me...

"Oooh! They about to have a tryst!" Sungah chuckled.

"Surely not... Grace isn't really that type of person..." Greg said concerned...

As we both continued walking towards a corner... Louie showed his hand... hinting me to grab out my phone... I gave it to him... well his phone. He starts texting... someone... I'm not sure who exactly but he seems to be a fast typer...

"Listen.." He sighed. "I'm sorry for shouting at you... we are going to my house right now if that's what you are wondering."

I remained silent... turning away from him... he frowns. "I'm really just not used to working with other people...

"I.. really was trying okay? I really tried to. I'm really just bad when I'm under pressure... even if I'm a C.E.O... I'm also human... I'm not perfect... nobody is. I just hope you understand that..."

"I understand... I'm really sorry... usually when a person doesn't meet my standards... I fire them immediately without considering much thought... but you... I shouldn't have treated you like an employee... I should have treated you as a person.

He took a deep breath trying to put his arm over my shoulder... although...

"ACK! WHY ARE YOU SURE SHORT!" He complained in a childish manner making me burst out laughing...

"Welp it's kind of your fault that you're so tall... I'm really small so I guess you feel what's it like to be small.." I winked kneeling down. "Is this okay now? Shortie." I giggled.

He rolled his eyes like a child... "So does this mean... you forgive me?"

"I guess... although... I really want you to have this... but I'm not sure...how are we going to make this flawless? The presentation is going to be in a few hours... and if this mess up... it's going to be my fault."

"Honestly... if you are worrying a lot because of how I shouted and pressured you... don't worry... I have a plan... I guess I was just so focused and irritated about this situation that I didn't stop and think about it."

"Wait! What's your plan?!" my eyes lighten up.. as I asked him curiously.

He gave me a sly smirk. "Well that's why I did the call... and... as on schedule... the limousine is here so shall we?"

I nodded and took his hand... off we go to the limousine... I guess... this is the first time... he actually listened to me for once...
