Chapter 48: Preparations For The Disaster

A few hours before Grace hears them from the restaurant location..

It was already night time... the busy streets were covered with the lights of cars and signs... giving the perfect scenario for a perfect night out for many people...

POV: Louie

The work hours have just finished and everyone is getting ready before we all head to the restaurant for the company dinner party... Greg, Sungah, and I are in my office preparing as well...

"Ugh... DO I REALLY HAVE TO COME... CAN I JUST COME BACK HOME AND RELAX.." I ranted, stomping my little feet in the ground.

"Not gonna lie.. why do we even need to come to this company dinner... Can I just skip this... I got like a date with a strong and handsome man tonight." Sungah said frisking her hair.

"It's because Grace kind of invited everyone meaning she kind of initiated it... It would feel really weird that the one that started it... just suddenly disappears and such..." Greg informed me about the reason... I rolled my eyes agreeing to his statement.

"It's kinda like.. when a girl messages you and hangs out with you and then when you are in the place where you usually meet... the girl doesn't arrive. It's kind of like that." Sungah giggled, fiddling with her make-up.

"Greg, my dear? Would you like to touch up? Your fabulousness is kind of fading if you ask me." Sungah chuckled as she grabbed out her make-up kit. She would touch her neck from reflex.. realizing her pendant was gone. "Damn it! I forgot to get my pendant from Grace... I guess I'll just have to come with you guys. Can't seduce the guy without my pendant."Greg nodded. "Certainly.. although why do you need the pendant to seduce? With your lush blonde hair and gorgeous face? Aren't they already enchanted?" "Oh, you! Flattery can get you places.. but this man is a top-tier man. He's not really easily swayed by looks..." Sungah giggled, tapping the seat beside her for where Greg to come to.

I mean he is pretty right... Sungah is one of the most attractive women I've seen in quite a while. She'll seriously slay in modeling with curves too generous for the eyes and looks that can stop traffic.. she is a force to be wrecking with.

"Stop staring geez. You'll make me think I have a chance with the most handsome CEO in the country." She noticed my staring, giving me a wink.

"He has a fiancee you know," Greg said to Sungah... making her giggle.

"I know that... I'm maybe promiscuous but I'm not a homewrecker." She smiled. "Well not that often..."

I sighed... "You must really hate your fiancee don't you?" Sungah noticed my change of tone when Greg mentioned my fiancee

"I mean why wouldn't I? I was forced to marry her... She's the one who proposed to me and I couldn't say no because it was an arranged marriage..." I sighed...

"It's kind of like one of those novels where a girl is in an arranged marriage with a CEO but in your story. You're the one who was forced." Sungah giggled and flicked on the make up tools making them float with some kind of magic.

"Stay still there Greg. It might poke your eye out or do something wrong." Sungah smiled making Greg stay still...

Wow?! That's fascinating it's like a factory... like those machinery that move on their own...

"So that's magic, right? Is that like a difficult spell to do?" I asked out of curiosity.

"It's not really a difficult spell.. any magic-user can cast it. Although it's more on the precision... you see when the makeup moves.." She points to the floating lipstick. "I have to focus my magic on the handle and then move it carefully... it's kind of like trying to hold it with only two fingers.. but I hold it with my magic." She described it as making a peace sign where the thing was between her two fingers...

"Although Luther seems to be a bit better at this than me so right." She giggled. "OUCH!" Greg screamed we both turn to see his eye got poked by the cap.

"That's why I told you not to move." Sungah giggled.

Hm... this magic thing is really amazing now that I see it in action... now I am a bit curious about Sungah.... how powerful is she exactly...

"How powerful are you exactly? Like are you an advanced witch?" I asked her bluntly.

"Hmm... well... I wouldn't call myself powerful... but I guess I am a bit decent.. my strong suit is spells... but I'm like not very good in alchemy... or any combat... I'm more of a normal person so I only just use spells that may use me in real life. Just like teleport and time stop." She responded. "The sleeping spell also is quite a handy spell.. well I use mostly my pendant... since I get whatever I need when I just charm the nearest person." She added.

"Can anyone learn magic?" I continued with the questions.

"No. You need to be born with a magic core. Not everyone has it that's why magic is really rare and a lot of people don't even know about it. Most of the magic-users live in the Spirit Realm where it's free for them to use it but it's hidden here in the human world." She said to us.

"Anyways we should be almost done right?" She turned around to see Greg all ready and groomed.

I stood up from my seat. "What?" I asked as Sungah's face turn into a disgusted scowl. "You are not going out looking like that."

"Nobody really cares about what I look like. So I'll just be going now. Come on let's go..." I ignored her suggestion to change my outfit... I never really liked being pampered anyway... I find it a waste of my time...

As I got into my car... well, Grace's car... along with Greg and Sungah... we all headed for the restaurant... I wonder what's Grace up to right now... maybe I'll go ahead and ca-

"Hey! Isn't that Grace?" Greg pointed from inside the car...

"And isn't that Isabel with her?! What is that crazy hoe doing here!" Sungah shivered in panic...

WAIT! WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE! THIS IS NOT GOING TO END WELL!
