Chapter 109: Pinkie Promise

"Tag you're it!" I said jokingly as I brought the man out of the couch. Now she better explain well because I'm not playing.

The man stood up from the couch, absolutely bewildered at my surprise attack. I can sense that my mother was trembling in fear as I saw him. She definitely was hiding something or doing something wrong.

"Who is this man, mother? What is he doing in our house this late in the hour?" I innocently interrogated my mother, scanning her body posture and everything.

"I... um..." The man was speechless and was not able to let out a single word from his surprised state.

"Honey..." My mother approached me with open arms. Patting me in the head. "This person right here is my friend, I invited him for today so he can keep me company since your father was busy that's all. Were you worried about me meeting someone this late?" She explained to me, softly brushing my hair.
