Judgement

"WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!!"

Handcuffed and standing in front of the entire noble parliment with Secre at his side, Asta yelled in indignation over the treatment they were receiving.

*Sigh*

'I thought something like this would happen.'

Watching all of this take place with a blank expression on her face, Secre sighed lightly and closed her eyes.

"What are you doing! I thought we were only here to tell you about the devil!"

"Devil?" A voice sounded out forcing the entire hall into silence.

"What nonsense."

Listening to the sound of light footsteps echoing out, the figure of a man dressed in exquisite clothing and holding up a golden scale appeared before the eyes of the accused.

"Now then Asta of the Black Bulls, I Damnatio Kira chairman and speaker of the house will pass judgement on you."

Ignoring Asta's pleas, Damnatio began to read out the fabricated crimes for the rest of the nobles to hear.

"Filthy peasant scum."

"How dare he breathe the same air as us."

"What else can you expect from garbage from the forsaken region."

All sorts of mumurs began to echo out from the noble stands as Asta felt things were turning in a direction that he had no control over.

'This is bad. If I let things carry on like this me and Nero will be the ones in trouble.'

"I'm telling the truth!" He screamed causing the nobles to look at him in disgust. "It was all that devil's doing! We're innoc-

"Are you sure you want to say that?"

"Huh?"

Without even realising it, Damnatio had closed the distance between the two and was now standing so close to him that he could whisper into his ear.

"You still don't get it do you? From the very start, this trial could only end one of two ways. You would either shoulder the blame and admit to being the devil that plunged the kingdom into total chaos accepting execution and ending the incident right here and now. Or it would be the fault of several rogue magic knights that tried to rebel against the kingdom of Clover performing treasonous actions as a result."

"I-"

Unable to believe what he was hearing, Asta felt his mouth turn dry as the gears in his brain worked themselves to the limit.

"Even a commoner like you should understand what happens to traitors of the crown right?"

Execution

"So what will it be Asta of the Black Bulls? How do you plead?"

"I-"

Just as he was about to speak up, a sudden interruption destroyed all the tension that Damnatio had worked so hard to build up.

"Well well well, if it isn't a bunch of money hungry pigs all gathered in one place. If I arrived any later I might even see yall gorging yourselves on each other's shit."

"HOW DARE YOU!"

"WHO SAID THAT!"

"SHOW YOURSELF!"

"DEATH! I DEMAND SUCH A PERSON BE EXECUTED!!"

Upon hearing someone refer to such noble beings as themselves as pigs, the nobles in the stands stood up in protest and started demanding the individual to reveal himself.

'This voice...'

Frowning at the sudden interruption of the mysterious voice and the angry yells of the nobles, Damnatio lowered his hands to quiet down the raging nobles and looked towards the direction the voice was coming from.

"Who are you?" He asked cautiously readying his scales.

"Me? Heh, I'm the muthafucka who saved all your worthless asses from having to face reality by killing the devil you're to chicken shit to admit exists. Now who the fuck are you?"

"I'm-

"I'm just kidding." The voice suddenly laughed as a cloaked figure walked out of the same entrance Damnatio used to enter.

"I don't give a fuck~"

"GRIM!!" Asta exclaimed in shock as the cloaked figure pulled the hood down.

"Wassup." He grinned shocking every noble in the room with his appearance.

"Grim?"

"Its him!"

"The disrespectful commoner!"

"The one who- where'd his majesty go?"

"Huh?"

Turning their head towards the main seat, they all suddenly realized that his majesty was nowhere to be seen.

While everyone was busy looking for the king, a deep frown settled on Damnatio's face as his eyes stared fixedly on Grim's figure. Or more accurately, on his cloak.

Looking at his family's insignia sown onto the breast of the cloak, Damnatio did his best to remain calm as he asked in a dark voice.

"Where'd you get that cloak."

"This?" Grim pulled on the cloak and answered. "I kinda just found it."

"You found it?" Damnatio's frown deepend.

"Yep." He nodded before ignoring him and turning his attention back onto Asta and a shocked looking Secre.

"Sorry about coming so late. Needed to take a dump and couldn't hold it. But look, I got this sweet looking cloak out of it."

!!!

Upon hearing those words, the rage simmering in Damnatio's heart began to flare up as he realized that the last place he had left that particular cloak was in his office...

Unfortunately it wasn't over yet.

"Ah, luckily there was a bunch of paper lying around that I could use a toilet paper. Unfortunately there was no actual toilet around so I kinda just left the mess on the desk. But this cloak though."

Ignoring the myriad of facial expressions Damnatio was currently making, Grim walked up to the two and using a single beast sword he removed their handcuffs.

"But what are you doing here?" Asta asked rubbing his wrists.

"I got a tip that some shady shit was going down. And since I had nothing better to do I came to check it out. Oh right. MARIE!!" He yelled.

Running out of the entrance, Gauche's sister ran up to Grim and hugged his leg.

"Wait what!" Asta gasped upon seeing her. "What's Marie doing here?!"

"Who knows." Grim shrugged trying to push the little girl off of him. "Found her surrounded by a bunch of extras and decided that I'd take a picture with her to piss Gauche off."

"Oh." Asta accepted the explanation and ruffled the girls hair.

"So what now?" He asked looking up at Grim.

"...Wanna come check out my mansion?"
