For Thanksgiving, both Cindy and her Mom were invited over to Max's home. Both Max and Cindy's parents were thankful that their children had met. Not only becoming friends but building a much stronger bond with each other, accepting everything about each other. Their relationship helped Cindy open up and gain friends once again, something she hasn't done in a long time. Max, while preparing to graduate and getting a job that'll be substantial to take care of his own family, still finds time to spend with his girlfriend.
By graduation, there was not only graduation to celebrate but also the high-paying job Max was able to start a week after his graduation. Taking the opportunity, Max prepared a special dinner for Cindy. He made it all himself, while both his and Cindy's Mom decorated the downstairs room of Max's home.
Walking down the stairs blindfolded, Max never let go of her hands, taking each step at a time, slowly guiding her to the table. He sat her down, "Mmmm smells delicious", rolled off her tongue. "Thank you, I hope you enjoy it", Max said as he carefully took off the blindfold. A huge smile plastered on his face as she slowly opened her eyes adjusting to the room, although it was really bright as usual. It added a romantic feeling to the decorated room. She looked around the room in awe and joy. "This is beautiful", turning back to look Max in the eyes. She could only imagine the time and effort he had put into all of this despite everything else he had to do. "Thank you, Max, for this room and the dinner, thank you " "I'm glad you like it, hopefully, the food is to your liking as well." Smiling at each other they gave each other a peck on the lips before Max sat down and they began to eat.
After the delicious home-cooked meal, made by none other than her boyfriend, Max brought in the finale, a small-sized vanilla cake, with light pink frosting and the words, "will you marry me?" Gasping, tears in her eyes, turning straight to Max who was on one knee with an open ring box, "Cindy, will you continue to be with me until we grow old together, through the good, the bad, and the ugly, till death do us part?" Jumping into his arms, "oh Max…I never thought…I never would have…I..I I love you, Max." In between tears of joy, Cindy didn't know what to say, or better yet, she would have never thought a day like this would come. A day where she would meet someone who accepted the way she thought and still stayed with her, someone who was patient with her someone who would make her feel like she belonged like she had a place to call home, no more moving, no more new neighborhoods she was finally home.
Both Max and Cindy's parents, as well as themselves, agreed to wait until Cindy graduated to hold the wedding. During Cindy's last year of high school her Mom had to move again, but this time Cindy stayed with Max's parents patiently, or more so anxiously awaiting for the day she could move in with Max as his wife.

Max, now a manager for the company he started working for a year ago, was able to move into his own home in the adjacent neighborhood. He would visit Cindy on the weekends, sometimes they would be out the whole day enjoying the time they had with each other, patiently awaiting their wedding day.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride." Said the Preacher as he blessed the marriage. Max and Cindy kissed lightly on the lips, turned, and waved to their parents and friends as they walked down the aisle out of the Church.
"Welcome home my wife," Max said as he led Cindy into her new home. "It's good to be home my husband." Cindy said as she took a deep breath of her new life in her new home with her "Mr. Fix It", a boy who didn't leave her alone, always helping her when in need, gave her a place to come to, a place she belonged, not his parent's house, but a place where he was. He gave her hope and happiness. Wrapping her arms over his shoulders around his head, "thank you for loving me and giving me what I have always wanted", she began to kiss him. He wrapped his arms around her and deepened the kiss, happy she was finally his and that she was happy.
The End

The Lord is our source of joy, our hope, for He is alive and loves us unconditionally. Sometimes He will give us people in our lives to help us through difficult moments. Other times he wants us to call upon His holy name. Either way, know this, there will always be hope in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten son because He is "the way, the truth, and the life." John 14:6, amen.
