27. Uncle's advice

Of course, the crowd was still there but much more calm. At least so it looked like, but as soon the gate to the land was open again great pushing and pulling started.

Shu Ya thought trains at home were overfilled but this was ridiculous. She had no idea there were so many people on the ship until she saw them all.

The moment the hallway became less crowed the two guards rushed to the room and brought four packages. Two for Mingli and Mingyu and two for themselves.

From another side suddenly she saw Migli coming with a bunch of people and rushing towards her oom. ''Miss, these are our people. We will bring most of the things on your farm. What is going to the Bai family?''

She knew that she would have to sleep at the Bai family at least once so she opened her wooden chest and took out the two dresses and a few trinkets she planned to wear. After that, she locked everything up and packed the dresses in a smaller box.

''Smaller box is going with me to Bai estate and big is going to the farm. The two big chests are presents for the family. So they are coming with me. Everything else to farm. And rice and oil as we spoke before.'' She could see him nodding and agreeing with her and the servants came in front of her bowed deeply without even looking at her and rushed to take out as she said before.

Actually the things for the estate were taken out first so she slowly came out with guards after most fo crowds went out. As she stood there and saw people packing carriages with rice her smile became profound.

Suddenly out crowd, a middle-aged man came out with two young men and rushed towards her. ''Xiao Shu Ya. I am your uncle Bai Fu and these are my sons, Bai Chen and Bai Bo'' he pointed at the two and saw a big smile on their faces.

She cutely curtsied and smiled at them. They smiled back and saw two big men right beside her.

''Oh, these are my guards until I get back home and then they have to rush back to Lanning. They will protect me all the way to my estate.''

The three people got stunned. ''Your estate?''

She chuckled. ''I don't plan to live on Bai estate as our situation now is quite sensitive. I will explain to the family when we arrive.''

At that moment Mingli approached and bowed in front of her. ''Young miss the carriage is ready. I will go straight to our farm and Mingyu will go with the miss.''

Shu Ya because serious and nodded. ''Well done Mingli. Wait for me there. I have these two and Mingyu with me. I will be fine.''

at that moment another young man rushed back and bowed in front fo her. ''Miss, the letters are sent. Captain Chen and Tao are asking for an audience.''

Shu Ya looked at her uncle and smiled cutely. ''Uncle, come with me. Captain Chen and Tao were amazing to me. They protected me the whole way and fed me good food. I have to show my gratitude. Please.''

Bai Fu nodded and saw her walking withs straight back quickly but not running. He nodded. ''She has nobility in her bones. If she could get proper training...''

''Father stop fretting. Those people in our family are really senseless. Auntie did so many good things for them but they forgot it all.'' Bai Chen patted his father's shoulder.

''This child went trough so many adversities that she became too serious for her age. Most girls in her age fret about sweets and trinkets, plays, toys and games. But she already made all the plans in advance. Good that she bought a house outside or who knows what could have happened to her.'' His sons could only nod to that.

''Later on, I will go check little sisters home so I can rest calmly. But I can see that those people by her side are quite able.'' Bai Bo pointed at a young man that pointed ta some bags. ''What is that?''

Bai fu shook his head as he saw bags. ''That child is smart. She already bought food for herself. Prices here soared as soon fist wind started getting cold.''

But the strange scene appeared. Two rows of carriages could be seen. One row started moving right away with one part of her servants while the other was watching by the other servants and few guards he rented until they do not arrive at Bai estate.

Soon Shu Ya came back and smiled at them. ''Thank you, uncle, for waiting. I am sorry if I did something wrong. If you tell me I will change it.''

What she saw was actually curious expression but she acted completely innocent as she knew that they had any questions.

Bai Fu pointed at the carriage with a strange voice. ''What is THAT?''

Shu Ya shrugged. ''It's my present to Bai estate. Its good rice.''

The three people were speechless for a moment.

Bai Fu patted her head. ''Child, it is fine if you want to gift Elders with good rice, but we have hundreds of people. Thes few bags can last us maybe two days. Please take it to your estate. Here winters are really long. Please trust me. If you give too much they might expect you to give them again next time more.''

Shu Ya was stunned for a moment. She turned around and called Mingyu. ''Mingyu, is Mingli ar away now?''

He shook his head and pointed at a group of carriages waiting for something. ''Miss they can't pass as there is a big crowd.''

Shu Ya nodded. ''Bring only the last carriage with us, the one that has half carriage of rice and oil and the presents chests. I think that will be fine.''

It seems there is some untold story in family and this uncle of hers seems to be caring person to give her such advice.
