Su Zixi hardly slept a wink all night.
In the morning, when she woke up, her head throbbed painfully, and her chest felt heavy, as if a large stone were pressing down on it.
Struggling to get out of bed, Su Zixi dressed, packed her backpack, and left the room with it slung over her shoulder.
Downstairs, Uncle Li was busy in the dining room. Seeing Su Zixi appear, he smiled affectionately, "Young Mistress, you're awake."
"Mm…" Su Zixi responded, then thought for a moment and said, "Uncle Li, starting today, I might have to stay at school for a few days. Thank you for everything during this time."
Uncle Li's hand paused, and he looked at her in surprise, "You're leaving."
"My exams are coming up, and I need to go back to review for a few days." Su Zixi gave a strained smile, "Later, please tell Jingyao for me."
Uncle Li looked at her deeply, "Young Mistress, I can't make that decision for you. It would be best if you spoke to the Young Master yourself."
