Yumi headed downstairs, but Alicia's words keep on playing on her mind.
'Your father never betray your mother,'
Ha!
That was the biggest lie that she heard in her entire life!
Yumi said inside.
Yumi went to the study room, but her footsteps came to a stop when she saw Jin standing outside the door.
Yumi's world seems to slow down and her heart beats faster as soon as she saw him!
And it feels weird!
Why did she felt like this?
'No, maybe I am just nervous about the result of her trial test last night?!'
'Yes! That must be it!'
The study room was locked, so, Jin waited for Yumi outside.
After a while of waiting, he heard footsteps coming from upstairs and it was Yumi!
"Young Miss," Jin called Yumi, but Yumi just looked at him as if she hadn't heard him!
Jin knitted his brows, 'What's wrong with the Young Miss?'
"Young Miss," He called her again but Yumijust stay still.
"Yumi!" This time, Jin made his voice louder.
"Huh?!" Yumi snapped back to her senses when Jin called him loudly!
She looked at him and she can still her heartbeat!
Yumi tried to calm her self, especially her heart which is in chaos right now!
" Did you have to yell at me?!" She pretended to be stern.
"I've been calling you for a few times, but you seem not to hear anything!" Jin replied.
"Uh... But still, you shouldn't yell at me!" She insisted.
"I did not yell at you tho!"
"I just called you," Jin reasoned.
"Whatever!" She said as she continued to walk downstairs.
"So, did I pass the test last night?" She then asked.
"Ennn..." Jin nodded his head.
"Really?!" Yumi's eyes lit up!
"Do you think I can pass the third quarter exam?!"
"Hmmm..." Jin looked up as if he is trying to think, "You can pass if you do it well,"
Yumi nodded her head a few times!
Of course!
She will do it well!
She won't be a castaway!
She won't allow it!
She has to defend her title as an heiress of this family!

Alicia knocked on the door before she opened it.
"Mom?" Yuhan blurted out as soon as he saw his mother.
"Hey, baby," Alicia walks inside the bedroom.
She sat on Yuhan's bed and embrace her son, "I'm sorry," She said with teary eyes.
"Why?" Yuhan asked innocently.
"Baby, I'm sorry if I've been a terrible mother," Alicia mumbled as she pressed her lips to suppress her cries.
She's protecting the first wife's image, but she couldn't protect her son from the people who judge them so easily.
Sometimes, she is questioning herself if she did the right thing to keep silent even if she knows the truth!
What if she told Yumi the truth behind her mother's suicide?
That her mother was caught by her father cheating on him with another man!
That was the reason why her father become cold to her mother!
Perhaps, Yumi and the people around them won't judge her easily.

(Fast Forward)
Today is the quarter exam, everybody was a bit nervous but Yumi is confident that she can pass this exam.
Why not?
She has a smart tutor who is always there to guide her and makes her understand the lessons she was struggling to learn!
The whole classroom is quiet, trying to concentrate on the exam while their adviser is roaming around, making sure that no one would cheat during the exam.
Yumi stretched her arms as she straightened her body, hoping to ease the pain in her back after a few hours of answering the questionnaires.

The three girls were chatting as they headed to the campus' exit while Yumi walks ahead of them.
The three girls tried to catch up with Yumi, "Hey, Yumi!" They called.
Yumi stopped in her track, she then turns to her friends, "Why?" She asked.
"Hey, didn't you find the exam difficult?" Alodia asked.
"Nope!" Yumi replied.
"Ohws?!" Adelin blurted out in a doubtful look.
"Yes!" Yumi replied.
"It wasn't difficult at all!" She added.
"Hey, since when did you become interested in the class, huh?" Adelin said.
"Since my dad threatened me to send me abroad to have a difficult life there, alone. " Yumi replied.
"You know how I love disappointing him, don't you?"
"Wait," Mica joined the conversation. "You mean, you did all this just to disappoint your father?!" She asked in disbelief!
"Yes!"
"If only you guys know how he wanted to send me abroad and make me a castaway,"
"Hey, Yumi! Aren't you thinking too much?" Mica commented.
"I mean... No parents want their children to be far from them," she added.
Yumi smiled bitterly, " My dad is different," She replied.
"He already had a new family, that is why he wanted me to go far from him,"
The three girls just looked at each other, they don't believe that Yumi's father could do such a thing!

Three days have passed since the third quarter exam, and the result is out!
Yumi is so happy!
She may not belong to the top students, but at least, she has passed the exam!
At night, Yumi went to the dining area with a bright smile on her face, she can't wait to tell her father the news!
She can't wait to see his disappointed look after she tells him that she passed the third quarter exam!
"Yumi, come, let's eat!" Mr. Alcantara invited Yumi.
Yumi froze...
Her father's behavior is odd!
He seems to be in a good mood!
Yumi sat on her chair beside Yuhan,
"I heard you did great in your exam!" Mr. Alcantara said.
Yumi froze again, she looked at her father with her puzzled look.
Why she can't see the disappointment in her father's face?
He even seems... Happy!
Yumi cleared her throat, " I passed the exam," She replied in a faint voice.
"That's good!" Dimitry complimented his daughter.
"Your father wants to join you for dinner because you did great in school," Alicia joined the conversation.
"What?" Yumi seemed to hear it wrong!
"Wait, are you not disappointed that I passed?" Yumi questioned her father.
Dimitry stopped chewing his food, " Why would I?" He asked back.
Yumi put down her spoon, " Because I'll be staying here in the country! " she said.
"That means, you can't get rid of me!" She added.
"Yumi, you have misunderstood everything, I did not want you to be far from me, I just said those words for you to take your studies seriously," Dimitry replied.
"But, I can still do that if you get back to being an irresponsible student," He added.
Yumi was not able to say a word, she didn't expect things to turn like this!

Yumi is in the garden, she looked up at the dark sky. She can see the stars shining above. She wonders if her mom is one of those stars who seems to be looking after her.
"They're beautiful to watch, aren't they?"
Yumi almost jump out of fright when someone suddenly spoke from behind her!
Yumi turned her head behind her and she saw Jin!
"Hey! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!" She complained.
Jin smiled, " You're too young to have a heart attack," He said,
Yumi stared at Jin who is walking closer to her, and she can feel it again!
That weird feeling!
That heartbeat, the feeling of butterflies in her stomach, and her slow world!
She always feels like this every time she sees Jin!
"Why are you here alone?" Jin asked.
"Uh," Yumi blinks her eyes a few times, " J-Just wants to clear up my mind," She replied.
She can feel her hand and feet turned cold.
'Ugh! Why am I feeling this way?!'
'Why do I feel... Anxious?'
Jin sat beside Yumi, but it only made her become more anxious!
Yumi instantly got up from her seat as soon as Jin sat down!
Jin looked at Yumi with his puzzled look!
"Why?" He asked.
"Uh,... I just..." Yumi tried to find an alibi, "I just remember, I have homework to do," She said.
"I can help you with your homework," Jin offered.
"No!" Yumi refused instantly.
"I mean, I can do it by my self, I'll just call you if I find it difficult," She said and then she left.
Jin just watches as Yumi left, he sighs in disappointment.
