Ruthless Man

Feeling suffocated, Su Bei put on her coat and went out.

As she stepped foot outside the house, she felt the cold air pierce through her body. Her woolen coat was of not much use.

The new down jacket that she bought this year was given as a gift to Qin Yan by her brother before she even had a chance to wear it.

Su Bei took public transport and planned to go to the market.

In such cold weather, one could not possibly survive without a down jacket.

More than an hour passed before she reached the market. Su Bei was so cold that her lips turned purple.

She walked slowly as her legs were numb due to the weather.

The steps outside the mall had a layer of snow on them. As she put her foot on them and raised her other leg, her leg suddenly slipped and she fell backward.

Her hand unconsciously moved towards her tummy.

She closed her eyes and expected the pain to surge through her. The child I'm carrying surely would not survive this time.

However, the pain she expected did not come.

As she opened her eyes, she found herself laying in someone else's embrace.

The man's deep eyes were looking at her and he had a smile on his face. "Why are you so careless?"

The floating snow around her fogged her vision.

This guy seemed so familiar.

Su Bei immediately freed herself from his embrace and turned around and faced him.

How could it be him?

That arrogant member of the underworld!

At that moment, his gaze was fixated on her hand that was covering her belly firmly, and a satisfied grin could be seen across his face.

Su Bei immediately released her hand. When she slipped, her hand had unconsciously slipped towards her belly.

Is this a mother's love for her child?

How a mother and child are deeply connected?

"Why did you go outside wearing so little? What if you caught a cold?" The man opened his mouth to talk, his deep voice filled with a sense of warmth.

Su Bei glared at him and decided not to answer his question. With a cold tone, she said, "We need to talk."

The man smiled. "Alright."

At Starbucks...

The two of them sat face to face. The man spoke first. "Anything?"

Su Bei's expression was tense and her tone firm. "I don't want this child."

All the hospitals had received his order not to give her the surgery. Which was why she would only have a chance to undergo the surgery under his agreement.

The man looked at Su Bei with a calm face, and his smile was intriguing. "No way."

"Why are you being so unreasonable. The child's mine, and I don't want it." Su Bei was at her breaking point.

"Then why bother discussing it with me?" the man replied with a smile.

Su Bei stood up angrily and doused a cup of fresh milk on him.

He told the waiter that she could not drink coffee, so he ordered some milk for her.

The room grew silent. A few people from afar stood up immediately, but they were stopped by a glance from that man.

Su Bei was shaking with anger. She barely managed to contain the tears in her eyes. "How could you be so evil! I'm telling you, even if I give birth to the baby, I'll never give the baby to you." As she finished, she stood up and left.

"Wait!" The man stopped her.

Su Bei's footsteps stopped and she glared at him.

The man walked towards her and covered her with a mink coat that his subordinate just handed him. "I've prepared a ride for you outside. Just tell the driver where you want to go in the future. It's too cold, and you should not be wearing so little."

Su Bei looked at him with cold eyes. Without a word, she stood up and walked out.

"I'll promise you anything other than the abortion. I'll be waiting for you!" The man spoke behind her.

Su Bei did not even bother to respond and walked out of the Starbucks.

As she walked out, the mink coat that was draped on her fell to the ground, and the woman stomped on it while looking at the man in the window, her sharp glance full of malice.

As the man looked at the woman leaving angrily, a smile appeared on his face, and it gradually increased in size.

One of his subordinates walked over and said, "Mister Hua, Madam Su is not willing to get in the car. Should I return the car?"

The man's expression suddenly darkened. "If you drive it back, then I guess it means that you've given me your resignation letter."

His tone became even colder. "If she's not getting in the car, follow her close behind. If anything happens to her, I'll hold you accountable!"
