READ AFTER CHAPTER 30!!!

Hello my beautiful readers!

This auxilliary chapter shall be utilized in re-introducing the newly introduced character in Chapter 30. So if you have not read up to the thirtieth chapter, brace yourself for you might/will not (if not all) understand a single thing that I am about to say here. Besides, who wants a spoiler right? Back off while it's still early! I would also like to take this opportunity to say my updates have been and will be erratic since I am quite busy. And yes, as mentioned in my notes that I accidentally binged all five books of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians without considering the time frame it would eat up. No regrets. Heroes of Olympus is patiently waiting for me after I do all the ignored responsibilities so far. ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ｡

This fanfiction is my baby so I constantly think about it despite drowning in a different fandom.

Okay, since the author's note in chapter 30 was limited to a 500 word count (yes I am in the mobile app, you caught me), I was down to only clarifying who that Felix was and not entirely explaining where the heck he came from because he absolutely came out of nowhere. Also, even if there was an unlimited word count for the author's note, I still wouldn't put a chunk of text there just to explain the whole mumbo jumbo. So without further ado, let's get on with it!

I would like to reiterate that the Felix that I have decided to include in the story is to be distinguished from Félix Graham de Vanily despite the striking similarity in features both characters have (Geez, Thomas). Strike that Félix Graham de Vanily out because I am most certainly not putting that rude boy in this story.

This Felix, currently known as D'Angelo, is a guy in his early adult life who happens to be Adrien's predecessor as Chat Noir. Now, for those of you who have known of the early developments of MLB, the initial designed characters were significantly Felix Agreste and Bridgette Dupain-Cheng. For those who did not know, well, now you do.

And basing off on how long ago that already was, I took the opportunity to borrow the earlier character/s and give them a glorious cameo in this fanfic as a way of honoring their good deeds as the previous heroes of this whole thing.

〈Quick backstory/FAQ on Felix and current Chat Noir:

1. How did they meet?

In one of Gabriel's client parties. As lightly touched in the chapter, Felix is the special intelligence force inside of Paris' telecommunication company which is also run by Felix's father. The party was organzied as a pageant and all highly renowned individuals acquainted to Gabriel were invited. Because of his intelligence, superior to regular human beings, Felix is secretly employed at the top of the building catering only the VVIPs in Paris. There has been no case that Felix has not solved (in tracing people specifically), his senses are keen and impossible to comprehend. This is probably due to his years of adapting as Chat Noir.

2. So, then Felix knows of the current Chat Noir's identity?

Yes. But he was very discreet about it. He noticed the ring on Adrien's finger and immediately recognized it as the miraculous of the black cat despite it looking absolutely different from when he was the one wearing it. Their first chat was in front of a cheese fondue with Felix commenting on how cats also like cheese then slipping in his business card inside Adrien's suit with the label D'Angelo in gold cursive letters over the black cardboard that smelled like flowers.

3. Then Adrien had a friend outside of his circle in François Dupain after all!

Not quite. Although the two have talked before as suggested in their bickering in chapter 30, Felix was a very busy gentleman in the ropes of investigation. They exchange emails from time to time and have conversations whenever they meet at their fathers' parties, but this was the first time that Adrien dressed as Chat Noir and has assertively approached D'Angelo face to face.〉

I think that's all there is to clarify since it will be riskier if I end up spilling D'Angelo's function in all this bizz.
