Chapter 4: Tonight, You Sleep with Me!
"Yes, I was about to go upstairs to call you, but madam didn't allow it." After dinner, Mom Xu even saved some food for her, but Chen Peifang discovered it and dumped it all into the trash!
Hearing Mom Xu's words, Gu Qiangwei clenched her hands hanging by her sides.
This Chen Peifang, she is becoming more and more presumptuous!
"Do you know the password?"
"I'm sorry, Miss, madam didn't tell me the new password," Mom Xu said apologetically.

At that thought, Gu Qiangwei's sleepiness vanished in an instant. She threw back the covers and got out of bed, intending to look for Mengqi.
Mengqi was a Golden Retriever she had once rescued and had been with her for two years!
"Mengqi?"
She went downstairs and came to Mengqi's little house, only to see him lying there, looking lethargic.
Sick?
Reaching out to touch Mengqi's body, he whimpered softly at her and then lay back down.
"What's wrong with you?" In two years, she had never seen Mengqi like this before.
He had regular check-ups every month and had always been healthy, so why had he suddenly become like this?
Glancing at the time, it was after ten o'clock, and the veterinary clinic was definitely closed now.
"Mengqi, I'll take you to see the doctor tomorrow." Concerned about him, she stood up and lifted his large body in her arms.
"Tonight, you'll sleep with me!"

Since her mother had left, she had gotten used to sleeping only with a light on.
As she drifted into a drowsy state, Gu Qiangwei suddenly heard the sound of the doorknob being turned, a noise that also woke Mengqi, who was sleeping in the armchair. He suddenly stood up, staring intently at the direction of the door.
The next second, under the dim light, Gu Qiangwei looked up to see the door suddenly being pushed open.
"Who's there!?"
Although she was in her own home, in the middle of the night, Gu Qiangwei still got on her guard! She stared intently at the shadow walking in.
Then, she smelled a strong scent of alcohol hitting her nostrils!
Under the light, the silhouette became more and more familiar until it reached her bed in an instant!
"Gu Shijie!?"
In bed, Gu Qiangwei sat up in alarm. Before she could react further, Gu Shijie suddenly collapsed on top of her, pinning her entirely beneath him!
"What are you doing!? Let go of me!"
"Gu Qiangwei, I've liked you for a long time, did you know?" Slurring slightly, Gu Shijie spoke.
