A murder for many possibility...

After taking a bath, Eleanor felt a lot better and less nervious. She wore the dress that Miel choose for her, a beautiful light blue lace dress. She looked stunning on that dress that aristocratic women often deem as too simple for their taste. They loved the extravagant and gorgeous kind of dresses to look more astonishing and imposing. But Eleanor looked pretty and elegant on it, the light blue color of the dress went well with her sky blue eyes. At lunch, in the dining hall, those who came to see her along with Francis earlier were all present aside from Cain who had a lot of work. There was an open sit beside Francis on his right side, she thought that it was too close to him and would rather sit beside sir Val, further from the emperor. But unfortunately, Francis's intense gaze didn't let her have the choice, so she obediently sat on her place. While eating her meal she didn't look toward Francis even once, and he on the other hand occasionaly glanced at her. It was Alphonse that finally broke the silence and with a gentle smile he said,

"Do you feel better now Lea? is the meal to your taste? we can get you something else if you want."

"I am perfectly fine, and the meal is as good as ever it is so different from what I used to eat before...hehe!" She said awkwardly because of the fact that she almost told him about her past.

"Then, that's a relief. If you ever need anything, be sure to tell me okay."

"Yes! I will, thanks for been so considerate Al."

"He wasn't the only one been considerate though, his majesty made us work like crazy to find those behind the attack..." Interrupted Sebastian with a tired look on his face.

With Val they worked hard on the investigation and questioned one of the man they spared. Though, at the end of the investigation he was no longer needed, hence he got executed for murder attempts.

"Ah, right this incident did cause a lot of problem, did you find who did it?"

Francis finished his meal and after taking a sip of tea, he said,

"They seemed to be after your life, the reason is unknown but the perpetrator is a woman."

"Yes, I figured that they must have been after my life but why? I don't know anyone in this empire and I still didn't cause any trouble..." She said while playing her fork on a strawberry.

"Still?! were you planning on causing trouble? heh!" he smiled and looked at her with questioning eyes.

His intense gaze turned her bright red, she did her best not to met his eyes and keep on concentrating on her cake. Then, after hesitating for a second she uttered,

"Uh, I mean...you know I didn't get on any person's bad side or cause trouble, why would there be the need to kill me..." after saying that a thought came to her mind, 'could it have been the work of the elves, but they are too prideful to make human do their job and seeing as the queen was interested in my power, it doesn't seem like she would kill me. Then who?'

Francis frowned for a moment at the thought that a woman he knew may have been involved in the attack, 'Louis!...did she go and hire them to kill Eleanor because of what I told her?! She is the only woman that came to my mind and my hunch are mostly right on the mark.

As they were both deep in thought, Alphonse stood up from his chair and asked Eleanor for a walk to digest the food. She happily agreed which made Francis show an annoyed expression on his face, but he couldn't do anything to prevent her from leaving with his brother because he already clearly told her that there will never be any further development between them. Now, he was regretting his words as he saw them leaves the dining hall together, they looked quite close and that made him even more angry. Thus, without looking at Sebastian and Val, Francis stood up and ordered them to question Louis about this incident. And with a cold tone, he instructed them to use any mean to get the true. They were shocked by his orders, because Louis was one of the person they all knew since childhood and on top of that they were aware of her feeling for him. But nevertless, they would still carries their emperor's order and do as he said. Without looking back Francis stormed out of the dining hall and made all the people around, tremble from nerviousness and fear because of his sudden moud.
