Guerilla Warfare: Part 1

How would you define overpowered firepower? How about 300 of those GAU-8 avengers which were upgraded to the name of M108 Vulcan since it became a low caliber weapon. Those weapons were deployed on multiple spots on the ships and every single one of them was pointed at one spot, the palace.

"Scanning for targets. Targets spotted. The mansion and a reinforcement sir, should we take them down to sir?" Clarisse asked.

Morgan intervened, "Three carriages, 40 reinforcement. One of them is a VIP."

"Destroy the palace, but let the reinforcement live. We need them to leave and send a message, " Gerald said.

"Hardpoints deployed. Engage, " Clarisse said.

The bullets were spitting out from the autocannons. It left a huge hole in the palace and destroyed its roof. Another burst of bullets raining as if it was just ordinary rain and it destroyed the whole place.

[Laser Weapon Charged]

"Fire it!"

A purple laser was fired from the bottom of the battleship, it produced an explosion similar to a nuke on that palace. All that was left after that was a black crater without anything that represents that a palace was built there.

"We might have overdone it, " Laura commented on the black crater.

"There is no such thing as overkill, " Gerald said as the battlecruiser floated away from that palace and left the reinforcement convoy in shock.

They saw the convoy suddenly stopped as a big ass spaceship destroyed the palace in a mean that had never seen before. The look on their face was marvelous, their faces were white like a ghost.

They left the palace and waited for the reinforcement to spread the message about their appearance. For now, they would focus more on the POWs because it was their first step to form a new republic.

"You want to look at the naked man and woman that you just had collected?" Laura asked Gerald.

"Sure, let's go. The robots must have put them inside the prison block now, " Gerald asked as they walked away from the cockpit room.

They headed to the elevator which would take them downstairs to the prison block. The prison block has one single small room for each prisoner and each of the rooms was monitored. The room didn't have any bed or anything, just a simple old metal floor with a toilet. Hell, even the room didn't have any light source, it just a very dark place.

"Hmm, for a prison, this place is quite decent," Laura commented as he looked at the locked door that didn't have any ventilation. Just a simple metal door with a console on it. The console monitors everything from the surveillance to the vital sign of the prisoners.

"You're leaving them naked inside?" Rosa asked as she saw one of the female prisoners.

"Yes, I'm going to strip every single bit of their identity. This would make them work willingly to the republic," Gerald said as he observed a naked women guard that started breaking down.

"Is she crying?" Rosa asked.

"Yes, she is, actually. There is a drug pumped to that room that will give them a nightmare every time they sleep. Basically, we will try to make them crazy first," Gerald said.

"Crazy? Is a crazy soldier a good soldier?" Rosa shook her head.

"You will see what I mean soon. For now, let's go to the command room and find out what our A.I have prepared for us," Gerald said as he left to the elevator again.

The command room. A place that was used by the generals or the high ranking officials to plan their next moves in warfare. That room had been abandoned for a long time and they would use that room as a plan on how to develop the republic.

In that room, the most obvious looking thing was a round table that has a miniature of the terrain in Augary. Its function was similar to a tactical map. It marked any troops from the friendlies to the hostiles. For now, it just displayed their position alone in the sky.

"How big is your mothership?" Rosa asked.

"Very big, that's all you have to know," Gerald said.

The map in that table was separated into five different regions, south, east, west, north, and central. They would think where they should put the men first.

"Hmm, the central region is too chaotic, but it will have the biggest impact. What do you say, sir? Should we send them there?" Laura asked as she pointed her hands to a rural area in a center region.

"Good idea, but the central region is too chaotic. My suggestion is we deploy them to the west first, it had a port and we could secure the supply lines, " Gerald said.

"Hmm, as a tactical advisor. Both of the plans are good as the worst option was the mountainous southern region. From my standpoint, cutting off the enemy supply lines seems to be a good idea, " Rosa said as she drew several lines with her finger around the west region of the Augary kingdom.

The lines were very crude, most of them had writing besides it. Ports, Big-ass-guns, Fort, Trench, possible ambush points, all of them was her handwriting. It looked like she was going to draw an offensive plan.

"What are you doing?" Gerald asked.

"Shhhh. Her brain is working sir, " Laura shushed him.

She drew multiple arrows and stickmen as she made her offensive plan. The offensive plan that would be used for an assault on the port. But it had more resemblance to guerilla warfare.

"Ma'am, I think I can help you with that, " Morgan said as the crude drawing was fixed and replaced by more solid lines.

"Thanks, Morgan, " Rosa said as all of the structures that she marked appeared as a hologram on that table.

Forts started appearing on the table as a solid hologram. Trenches were displayed in higher resolution to accommodate her. Morgan and Rosa were a good pairing.

"Done. The plan is guerilla warfare. Hit&run tactics to be honest. We must hit the radicals supply lines first and we must hit it hard. Luckily, this valley right here is a good spot, " Rosa explained.

"Hmm, we can dress up as the conservatives. Good idea, big sister," Laura said.

"Hmm. Looks like I can set up some mines here and there. But I think we must put the blame to conservatives, any idea?" Gerald asked.

"Hmm, we can dress in yellow. It's the conservatives uniform, we can attack them from this place. Though, it would be better if we attack them from both sides," Laura said.

"Ok, I can tell Clarisse to make the conservatives uniform. Anything else?" Gerald asked as he studied Rosa's plan.

"I guess not. But I think we must wait until tomorrow morning before the radicals send a supply to the port. We will ambush them from both sides," Rosa said as he put two dots on the maps.

"Then where will you be stationed?" Gerald asked due to the absence of the third dot.

She put a dot in the middle of the valley, "Here, just give me a sword and I'm set."

"Are you sure? A convoy of supply vs you and your sword?" Gerald questioned her.

"I'm the leader of the Royal Guard. Don't doubt my swordsmanship skill, " Rosa said proudly.

"She can do it, sir," Laura said.

"Hmmph, I guess so. Well, pack your things girls! We will be planning the ambush tonight," Rosa said as she put her plan in motion.

"Ok, I will bring mines and explosives. Maybe two Designated Marksman Rifles and two Sub-machine guns and a High-Frequency sword for you. Are you sure you ok with a sword?" Gerald asked as he displayed the equipment list on the hologram.

[2x GG-HK-SG MP278 SMG]

[2x GG-HK-SG 715LB DMR]

[1x HF Sword]

[10x M29A7 Claymore mines]

[5x M89A78 Anti-tank mines]

[7x C69 Polymer Explosives]

[3x Conservatives Reinforced Plate Armour]

The equipment was being prepared in the armory and would be sent into the dropship. The vehicle that would be used by them was a dropship, Made by the Federation.

"Let's move out lads," Rosa said as all of them left the command room and headed towards the hangar of the Battlecruiser.
