Monsters in the Abyss part 2

After all that talk, students were lead to their respected rooms for rest. Ishtar mentioned that they will be looking at their capabilities tomorrow and how they will be doing training. Zaiko mentioned that he will share a room with his brother Hajime to maid so they rearranged it. As the brothers almost ready to go to sleep, Zaiko started talking.

"Look Haji.... I know this whole deal and summoning might be exciting for you and probably at the same time depressing, but something doesn't fit with me, call me paranoid, but I just can't get this feeling out of me." said Zaiko to Hajime as he layed into bed.

"I know how are you feeling, but it's nothing to worry about. Probably the whole deal of war made you this anxious, I mean look at our classmates, they almost had panic attack after the whole speech Ishtar made." Hajime reasured his brother with whole ordeal.

"You better be right, but you know that my gut feeling never betrayed me, even when we were kids, I always had that to guess bad things." Zaiko said to his twin brother.

"If this makes you better, then I will watch myself, I know that I don't look much, but I will watch myself, I promise. Plus we will be training tomorrow, so probably we will see how I will do." Hajime spoke again in gentle voice.

"Alright then. Goodnight." said Zaiko as he layed on the other side and drifted to sleep, while Hajime did the same.

The next morning brothers woke up under unfamiliar ceiling in unknown bed. They were in another world, they had to fight a war, their fate was in the hands of the god. This irritated Zaiko to no end, that some god is in control. While Hajime almost had panic attack, but after the memories came back he breathed out while slumping don't into bed again. In couple minutes they heard a nock, Zaiko got up, dressed up and opened the door, revealing Shirasaki Kaori.

"Good morning, I came to fetch you both for breakfast. Oh Hajime-kun good morning!" Kaori almost shouted while saying.

"Good morning, we will be up in a minute, will you wait or..." Zaiko stated but got cut off by Kaori.

"I will wait, because you guys might be lost if not for a guide." Kaori stated with a smile, while Zaiko just chuckled at this.

After this whole morning fiasco, both brothers were walking with Kaori into the dining room where whole students were sitting at, they saw some classmates were already eating, while Aiko-sensei was there too, trying to teach some table manners. Both Hajime and Zaiko sat at the end of the table, while a maid came and served them breakfast. The breakfast itself wasn't different from western cuisine, but still gave a 'foreign' feel to it.

After the breakfast, the class was guided to the other hall where their training will begin. In the hall stood the captain of knights Meld with some of his soldiers. Once the whole class were gathered they were given a really thin and rectangular plate.

"Before we begin training, we must find out our strenghts and weaknesses. In each of your hands you have a Status Plate, what it does basically shows a person information, parameters and skills, and explains the skills so don't lose them because it will be hard to replace them. To get started, drip some blood onto the plate and it will bound to you so nobody could use it." Meld explained the whole deal with the plates in stern voice.

The students did what the captain of knights told them. Some students were excited of their new skills and that class they got, some were not, and into those not's Hajime was included.

"So Haji what class did you get?" asked Zaiko with interest.

"I can say I will not be in the frontlines, so basically cannon fodder, a Synergist. Well you can check it yourself." said Hajime in downcast voice and showed his Status Plate.

"Well atleast you got a support class, it could have been worse." stated Zaiko.

"So what did you get?" asked Hajime

"Well hadn't checked yet, hang on..." said Zaiko with sheepish voice that made Hajime sweatdrop.

"I guess your not the only one who is in support class, Haji." laughed Zaiko a bit, which made Hajime let out a little smile.

As they were holding the plates something strange happened they just flew up and crashed into each other and out of nowhere light started to shine blinding the both brothers and the whole class with the Meld. As the light died down, there was a single Status Plate but a bit larger then a regular and it landed in Zaiko's hands and Hajime just stared dumbfounded and just walked next to him same as the captain of the knights, leaving flabbergasted class.

"This never happened before..." said Meld while looking at the both brothers and the plate. "Mind checking the status I wanna check what's changed because this accuranse is basically never happened." as he said that Hajime and Zaiko nodded their heads while both cutting their fingers and letting a bit of blood onto the plate.

Both Zaiko and Hajime were dumbfounded of this change of actions, not they only fused the plates but they even fused the stats together?! Like how is that even possible?!

"Hmmm..... That's actually interesting development, you both somehow fused the stats and levels, plus even advanced the class. Remarkable if I say so myself, check the skills probably one of the skills did that." said with amazed and curious tone Meld.

As the knight captain said and they checked the skills. What really stood out was the 'Brotherly Bond' skill so they checked it out.

Brotherly Bond - Strenght of the brothers. Any skills, new power ups, etc... you fuse them into one, thus resulting in upgrading classes, skills and getting new skills and increase in stats. Damage is not shared between the two, psychological damage is not shared between the two and knowladge is not shared between the two.

Now they really are shocked to the core. That's basically a cheat for both of them. While one can increase physical stats, another can increase the magical stats and both of them shares it. Even Meld was flabbergasted at this development, new skill was born in their eyes and that was actually a great skill.

"Alright boys! Listen up! Now that everyone is ready lets start training and improve your skills more!" knight captain shouted in the hall getting everyones attention and the class started their training.

Every student improved in their abilities, may that be swordmanship, spells, healing etc... but for Hajime it was basically torture, as he was actually bullied by no other but Hiyama Daisuke, just by casting fire magic at him. While both brothers shared the stats, but they needed to get used to that change. That was last straw for Zaiko, while he can joke around by words, but physical damage is going to far.

"What the fuck are you doing ginger man?!" shouted Zaiko getting the attention of almost the whole class in the training hall including Kaori's

"J-just training, you know, getting higher stats?" stuttered Daisuke the sentence.

"You call this training?! Okay then, I will show you the training." said Zaiko while he cracked his knuckles while walking to him releasing strange aura around himself that basically scared some of the students off.

"S-stop! He isn't worth it!" shouted Shirasaki getting Zaiko's attention same as Hajime's.

"You seriously think he isn't worth it?! Did you see what is he doing?! I will fucking kick his ass to oblivion!" shouted back Zaiko while releasing more of his strange aura scaring almost all the students.

"Control yourself Zaiko, just let this go, what we need right now is teamwork, not beating each other around." stated with serious voice Kouki Amanogawa.

"Are you stupid or what?! Drop your fucking good two-shoes act and get it together. Instead of lecturing me you should lecture him, that stupid gingerbread." not droping this statement said Zaiko suprising Kouki.

"Zaiko stop, I'm fine, you don't need to do this." said Hajime trying to calm down his brother.

"Tch... Lucky bastards. Remember this I will beat your ass next time gingerbread and you will suffer one way or another, trust my words." said Zaiko while his aura vanished in the air and the class released a sigh of relief.

"Are you fine Hajime-kun? Need any healing?" said Kaori in helpful tone.

"No I'm fine no need to bother with me." Hajime said with a fake smile, which didn't get unnoticed by Zaiko.

"If you are sure then okay." said Shirasaki Kaori with a smile.

Daisuke in the distance grew a disgusting face seeing the conversation between Kaori and Hajime. He keeps repeating himself 'Why does that guy gets attention and not me'. Zaiko notined this and grew overly suspicious of this and said to himself that he will keep the tab on this.

"You will see Daisuke, you will grovel under my foot next time you do that to my brother" thought Zaiko while seeing his annoyed face in the distance.

After the whole training, the whole class ate the dinner and the night came thus resulting them to go to sleep. But not without the new details. Meld the captain of the knights mentioned that they will go to the Ortus Labyrinth. After this details whole class grew anxious, but after reasuring of Kouki whole class got their spirits back.

"Why didn't you let me kick his ass Haji." said Zaiko to his brother while getting ready to sleep. "You know it would have been a good lesson for him and he wouldn't mess with you."

"You already know that I don't like violence." said Hajime to Zaiko with a fake smile.

"That fake smile won't do any good. Next time I see him doing this stuff I will fuck him up, if you like it or not." stated with serious voice Zaiko. "And stop lying to yourself, do that for me you know, I just can't let myself watch you getting bullied."

"*sigh* Alright, you win. You always were overprotective of me and next time I wont intervene." said Hajime with sigh leaving his lips.

After they finished this little talk they heard a knock on their door, so Hajime walked up to it and opened and to his suprise was Shirasaki standing there with a sleeping gown that is a little see-through. Hajime blushed a bit, while Zaiko wasn't really interested, but what interested in was what is she doing here.

"Hajime-kun I came here to tell you something." said Kaori with serious tone.

"Y-yeah what is it?" asked Hajime a little taken a back because he never witnessed Shirasaki this serious.

"I want you to stay here in the castle and not go to the labyrinth, I'm afraid that I gonna lose you there. I will ask permission that you can stay." said with a little sad tone Shirasaki Kaori worried for Hajime.

"W-well if that's the case will you protect me?" asked with a smile Hajime, while Kaori was taken a back with this request.

"Y-yes of course I will!" said with a big smile Shirasaki.

"Don't worry I will be there as well, so we got this." said Zaiko reasuring both of them. Then they shared a little laugh, and Kaori gone back to the room. While Zaiko with Hajime went to sleep.

Unknown to them someone is plotting behing their backs.
