Goodnight

In my bed at night I lay

And think of the day

I think of all the bad

Think of what made me sad

Cause you have to be down

Before you can go up

Some days I'll frown

But I quickly turn it upside down

I get rid of all the negative

Think of the positive

All the good of the day

That has put a smile on my face

I hug my pillow in silent reassurance

I'll beat the next day if I have confidence

So I wear a smile on my face

Ready to fight the next day

Tired and weary

My eyelids become heavy

I look at you now, eyes shine a light

I'll tell you more tomorrow, but for now
