You miss me?

' I didn't think you have such an interesting sister Aiden…' Ethan thought about his previous conversation with Aiden and headed towards the parking lot to meet Genesis.

Genesis opened the car door and locked the doors. She also turned the hair conditioner on since the weather was especially hot today. She laid back in the chair and waited patiently for Ethan to arrive. Noticing he was taking a long time she took out her phone and started going through her emails. One specific one caught her attention.

' Gen, I got a new phone and lost all of your contacts so I emailed you instead. Meet me in my office on Monday during your lunchtime.' This is what the email highlighted. The email came from Grace Evans, her mother's best friend, and the current Chairwoman of SY Industries.

Genesis smiled. "Oh it's been awhile aunty I'll go visit you then." She murmured. She responded to the email and sent her number to her along with Ethan's.

Genesis then started scrolling through her social media. She still had a few pictures there. Her account had been inactive for two whole years. She would still often get notifications of people commenting on her posts and liking them.

None of the posts had her face though instead it had pictures of her back against the sunset and pictures of her brother and family. She had made sure to block all of them from being shared, liked, seen and found. In all the platforms. She truly did disappear. In this account, though ' Genesis Smith' is still known as the famous heiress. Even her brother still gets asked about her in interviews but she suddenly disappeared from the world. She had cut off all ties as 'Genesis Smith'

Till this day rumors have been going around that she had died in the same accidents as her parents. This is supported since she indeed disappeared right after that incident. That only makes sense to the public because they have no idea of all the drama that happened right after. These other incidents were suppressed from the media by her brother and Aiden. They weren't anything too serious but being the heiress of the Smith family, her reputation would have been badly tarnished. Not that it wasn't at least not completely. Even her ex-fiance disappeared after that incident. Thankfully their relationship had not gone public since at the time they wanted the private ceremony and planned to tell the world the news after their marriage. This and her parents told them that it's safer this way.

Back then Genesis didn't pay attention to this but after her parent's car crash she went crazy trying to investigate only to find out it was indeed just accident.

She even suspected her uncle but after deep investigation, he really came out as innocent. 'Well, at least his greed didn't go as far as killing his own brother.' Genesis thought at that time.

Genesis sighed. 'Mn don't think about it.' She told herself.

She closed her eyes and waited for Ethan. A few minutes later Ethan knocked on the car window. Genesis opened her eyes and opened the door for him. Ethan sat on the driver's seat and opened his palm in front of her. Genesis placed the car keys in his palm and closed her eyes again.

Ethan noticed her silence and leaned in to kiss her forehead. "Don't think too much about it sis." He comforted her. Genesis nodded and kept her eyes closed.

He turned on some soft and calm music and then drove towards her apartment.

"What happened?" Aiden asked. "Brother haven't you noticed…." Jason told him. Aiden frowned. "Get to the point Jason." He told him and Jason sighed. " Kara likes you." Aiden didn't say anything while Jason observed him for any reaction.

Jason sighed. " If she likes you this will set a barrier between you and Genesis." Jason continued, to Aiden's displeasure. " As long as I don't like her I don't see the problem," Aiden responded indifferently. "She has been our friend for so long how can you act so indifferently?" Jason asked.

"You have always given her special treatment even before Genesis came along!" He continued.

" Whether she likes me or not is her problem. Focus on important things Jason." Aiden responded not at all aware of Jason's anger. " What the hell is wrong with you? She has feelings too! Is Genesis all you see? Stop being so obsessive!" Jason sent Aiden a glare and raised his voice.

Aiden placed his hands in his pockets and narrowed his eyes. " Go and calm down first and then come and talk to me. Even if you're my brother you should watch your words." Aiden warned him and walked away.

" Sh*t!" Jason cursed. He clenched his fists in anger.

Kara took a sip of her champaign with a sinister smile on her lips. She is quite aware of Jason's feelings towards her. Seeing the little fight between both brothers she felt content knowing that she would make perfect use of the situation. She used her plans to comfort the bothering feeling of seeing how Genesis had been taking all the attention tonight. It seemed like everyone rotated around Genesis and this bothers her. She should be the one in the center of attention. Why should some irrelevant assistant needs to have all the attention?

She had waited and spent so much money on her designer gown only to be ridiculed with Genesis'. She could hear how many people whispered compliments about her and it made her angry. She took deep breaths to calm herself down.

'Either way I will be the future Mrs.Miller' She thought.

Behind her Bae shook her head. " I wouldn't get too comfortable If I were you," Bae whispered behind her and left. Kara stiffened momentarily and gritted her teeth. Since the beginning Bae had always been up on her business.

She had been more than happy when Bae left but now that she's back made her want to choke her. 'Soon enough I'll get rid of you too!' She thought, imagining all the scenarios in her head.

Genesis and Ethan finally arrive back at her apartment.

Inside her apartment, Genesis entered her bedroom and immediately worked on taking off her dress and jewelry.

Switching her outfit to a pair of comfortable leggings and a tank top she sighed. She looked at her phone sitting in her bed. She decided not to touch it and took some makeup remover wipes. She had not done the make up herself or else she would look like a clown.

Once she was done Genesis washed her face and dried it. She put her hair in a messy bun and finally picked up the phone in her bed. She laid down on the bed and went through her call history list. She then pressed on Aiden's number which she had memorized earlier but had not saved.

She placed it in her ear and closed her eyes. " Did you just get home?" She heard him ask. "I did." She lied. " Mn that doesn't sound like you. I doubt it." He told her with a chuckle. She didn't respond and attentively listened to his voice. His chuckle made her heart flip. She covered her forehead and eyes by putting her arm on top.

She sighed deeply. 'What is happening to me?' She wondered. " I'll pick you up tomorrow and be ready by 5." He told her. " I can't. My brother is spending the weekend with me. Is it okay if we do this next weekend?" She asked.

" Fine….." He answered and Genesis didn't say anything after that and neither did him. There was a peaceful silence between both of them. " Are you driving home?" She finally asked. Aiden responded with a short 'Mhh'

Again there was a peaceful silence. " I'm surprised you haven't hung up. It can't be that you miss me right…." He teased.
