Abandoned Girl

Peeking inside the car she watched his stunned face and chuckled. "What happened, were you expecting more Mr.?" She mocked. "Sorry that's all you get. Those were your words you can't take em' back" She said and closed the door.

"So bold…" He thought knowing he had just picked up a rock and thrown it at his foot.

*********

Aiden sighed. He watched her leave and enter the car where Jess is in. He waited until she finally left to also leave.

Inside the car Jess sighed dreamily. "How romantic a goodbye kiss!" She said as she laid her head on the steering wheel. "Hurry up and drive. I have to go home and meet with Ethan soon." Genesis told her seriously. Jess nodded and turned on the car.

They drove to the base. This place is just a small piece of land that her mother left her. Her father was a businessman but her mother was a scientist and she would always take her to her lab and well her secret base. After her mother's death Genesis made it her own and used it to search for clues of her parent's death.

This is where she has every detail about what happened two years ago. Right now she is taking quite a risk. After all, right here she also spent her darkest moments. Those times when even though she had family and friends around her she still felt alone. Coward? She is no coward!

To be able to survive what she survived is not being a coward. Sure she has stayed low for the past two years but there are reasons for this. Back then she could have easily refused but she had planned a few things. Although her plans did somehow change after she met Aiden there is still so much to do.

45 minutes later…..

Jess drove inside down a path towards the beach. The path led straight to a beach house. But they didn't enter the beach house and instead they went past it behind it. Pressing the remote control on her phone Jess smiled. "We're back!" She cheered.

They entered the secret opening and it led to a parking space. The lights automatically turned on and they exited the car. They walked down a set of stairs and finally arrived at the place.

It was empty but it had been well maintained. " It's still the perfect hang out place!" Jess sighed and sat down in one of the comfy couches. The front of the large room looked like a hang out place. There was a theater room in one corner and a video game room on the other. Popcorn makers and all of those things.

But this is just its disguise. "Stay here and continue your report. You know what, give me a report about him. I'm getting suspicious." Genesis ordered her and Jess took out her laptop from one of the cabinets. She sat down in a bean chair and gave Genesis her thumbs up.

When Genesis first started working at ILG International she didn't trust anyone even Aiden. So, she had Jess who would notify her orders to investigate people once in a while.

She sighed and walked into a narrow hallway where she tapped the white wall and with her handprint it opened a secret room. Everything about the base had advanced technology which made it hard for certain people to even know about.

Once inside Genesis met with a very organized room. There was a desk in the far corner with 3 computers attached. The room included a set of stairs leading to a second plant and the roof. Genesis walked up to the second floor where she met with a floor to ceiling window and a giant map taking over one wall. In the map there were pinned locations and images.

Two years ago she had made some serious investigations. She had gone desperate for answers. During this investigation she had found a very interesting piece of information. Her aunt's darkest secret. This one secret haunts her uncle's family till today. And it is the 'gift' Genesis gave her aunt.

Thinking about this Genesis sneered. " Mmm you're peaceful days will come to an end soon..." She whispered and kept walking around the room, observing every point she ever made on the map.

26 years ago when Genesis' mom was pregnant with her, so was her aunt. Her mother and father had stayed away from S City for 5 years to raise her and her brother away from all the family drama and to train them well. This is why they never found out much about her aunt's pregnancy except that she had a miscarriage.

During this time the elders were deciding who would be the next heir. For years all the heirs had always been males. So naturally her aunt hoped to have a boy as her firstborn child. Turns out that when they did the ultrasound and the baby ended up being a girl her uncle forced her aunt to abort the child.

Her aunt refused to do so at first but with the manipulation of her husband she agreed to get rid of her. But her aunt didn't want to kill her baby so they compromised and decided that after secretly giving birth to her they would send her to an orphanage and never see her again.

When she had a 'miscarriage' they went away for a while to 'cope' with the incident. In reality her aunt was just giving birth to the girl in secret. A year and a half later they got pregnant and they had Kevin.

What Genesis gave her aunt was the hospital record and the orphanage where the girl was left. This girl is a very close person to Genesis now. They are best friends and they work together in everything. But she doesn't know that Genesis is her cousin.

This girl or Jess has no idea who her parents are. Genesis once offered to tell her who they are but Jess refused the offer claiming that if they didn't want her then she wouldn't beg them to want her.

After hearing what Andrew told her about her parent's car incident Genesis analyzed things and came to a conclusion. Maybe her uncle thought that since her parents had taken Jess in and cared for her, they probably knew his secret. But in reality only Ethan and Genesis know that Jess is their cousin.

Her parents didn't know and they helped Jess because they were simply kind-hearted.

Genesis sighed. " Mom, dad I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to say goodbye. I promise I will take justice for what they did to you. Even if they didn't cause that crash they still have to be punished for their deeds." She said to herself and walked towards the roof.

She spent the afternoon watching the sunset on the beach from the roof and went through her memories with her parents.
