President's Innocence

Why did she have the feeling that all of these are part of his plan? It felt as if he had everything set and all he was waiting for is that she steps on his traps.

"Did you cook?" She asked and he nodded. "Is it good?" He asked. "It's good but I still haven't forgotten about that competition we have pending," Genesis replied. Aiden laughed and drank from his glass of orange juice.

"You are cooking tomorrow then. I would like to see my competitor's skills." He replied and she shrugged. After that, they went silent. Both of them were in their thoughts. Genesis did her best to act normal but his presence was something that made her way too comfortable.

She wasn't liking how she easily getting used to him being around. For a moment there was a slight hint of fear in her heart but she shrugged it off reassuring herself that she is a changed person and this time she won't let herself get hurt again.

Maybe she still needs to learn how to open up and trust him. She decided in her heart that she would take me slowly and go at her own pace.

"What time is it?" Genesis and took the last bite of her food which in her opinion was surprisingly good. Both of them had not spoken during the rest of their breakfast and instead it was all silent except for the utensils making noise here and there.

"We are thirty minutes late for work." He replied casually and started putting away their plates. Her eyes winded and she rose from her chair. "Why didn't you tell me?" She question and started helping him clean up the table.

"I can't let my employees work without any food on their stomachs, especially not my assistant." He replied and she facepalmed.

They got ready to leave and after Genesis took another glance at the beautiful soon to be their home, she followed him inside the car. As they drove Genesis looked around and recognized the roads and every turn they made.

" Isn't this one of S City exclusive properties?" Genesis asked. "You recognized the area so easily have you been here before?" He asked. Genesis stayed quiet for a few seconds as she recalled a few of her memories about her lifestyle two years ago.

"No not all but I studied this area. My parents didn't like this part of the city so they never bought a property. I was curious as to why hence, I investigated." Genesis responded. 'I didn't lie but I also didn't tell the truth….' She thought.

The properties are great but to her parents, living near their enemy's or potential rivals was not something to be happy about. After all, you never know who has a property near yours so her parents wanted to be safe. Surely, they were a couple with a lot of secrets to keep hidden.

Aiden noticed how her expression was off but he didn't ask. If she didn't want to tell him now it's fine. He's confident that someday she will open up to him fully.

Genesis looked out the window and glanced at the familiar houses, trees, and every little detail. How could she forget this place?

When Genesis and Aiden arrived everyone started gossiping about how they arrived at the same time and they were both late.

Genesis would blush at the weird assumptions the secretaries on her floor were making. She spent her lunchtime with the secretaries and their ideas were far from the edge. Aiden had left to settle important matters and she had to perform a revision with all the departments so she didn't spend much time with him.

Throughout the whole day, they would occasionally meet and glance at each other secretly.

It was almost time to leave work and Genesis and the secretaries were having a small break before they finished off the day.

One of the secretaries was secretly looking for hickeys on Genesis' neck and it made her uncomfortable. They kept mumbling dirty things until Genesis could no longer deal with it.

"Guys, He was late because he met his mother and I had to attend them early this morning. I can assure you that I didn't sleep with your precious president." Genesis lied to them and rolled her eyes making them laugh.

"Assistant Gen please inform us when you decide to take our president's innocence all right. Make sure to treat him well." One of the secretaries joked and Genesis looked away to hide her blush.

"Stop speaking rubbish and get back to work. Hurry your brake is over." She shooed them all away impatiently. "It's not rubbish assistant Gen. We are very much interested to know when our president's innocence will be taken!" They told her.

"What nonsense are you all thinking about all day? I'm interested to know how you haven't all been fired yet. Tsk, Tsk all you do is gossip." Genesis scolded them. "Yes! But we are very efficient." They defended themselves with teasing smiles.

They all shared a good laugh and soon after they got to work again. This time they were all serious in their work. That's what Genesis likes about them. They might gossip an unhealthy amount but they are truly very efficient in their work.

Genesis shook her head and prepared coffee for Aiden. She placed it on his desk because she knew he would be back soon. She crossed off the things off his schedule that had been done and she did the same with her schedule.

Just like she expected Aiden did arrive but she kept it extremely professional with him. He wondered if this was some kind of punishment.

Seeing his reactions Genesis swore to use this type of method whether he starts taking liberties with her like yesterday. How dare he bring her to his bed! Even if nothing happened she was too shy to think of things that could happen.

The whole talk with those gossiping secretaries got to her head, or at least this is what she thought.

In the end, Aiden agreed to let Genesis stay the night at her house and prepare the things she will need to move in with him. But, first, they met up with Aiden's aunt and discussed when Genesis would start taking care of Nathan.

The rest of the afternoon was used for this purpose. They discussed their plans and agreed that Nathan would move in with Aiden and Genesis on a Sunday when both of them are free enough to settle a good schedule.

This was especially complicated because Genesis and Aiden both work and aren't home.

"I will drive him to school and pick him up." Genesis offered ad they finally came up with a flexible schedule. "And on the weekend we will go to visit his aunt," Aiden added referring to his mother.

'The brunch will be re-scheduled.' Genesis thought about how Mrs.Miller had agreed to make a brunch and announce the news of their marriage registration. If they postpone it, then less trouble will be caused.

'I should have not offered to call his mom yesterday' Genesis cried in her heart.
