A euphoric feeling.

So, I started off with the boss, who was already on the verge of death after being eaten alive and getting stabbed in the lungs.

One final stab in it's heart, and the boss let out it's last breath.

[Level Up!]

"Yes! Finally, I'm level two.. Level two goddamnit! This was so worth it!" A feeling of great joy flooded over me, and, unable to wait any longer, I proceeded to slit the throats of all the frozen adventures.

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

"Ahahaha, this is such a great feeling! The feeling of power flowing through your whole body." I started speaking out loud very often, probably because I kill everyone around me so there is no one to speak to.

The feeling of power is intoxicating, just as I've been told. But hearing about it and experiencing it for myself is very different.

Well, now I have a clear goal. I wanna become stronger.

Not just a few levels. No.

I mean powerful enough to cut the whole world in half with a swing of a dagger.

Of course, that's just a far fetched dream. For now, I just have to enjoy the small pleasures. After all, every little bit counts.

Alrighty then, time to check my stats.

"What the fuck kind of name is that? River? The names in this world are totally screwed, and what makes it worse is that you can't change it." While I wasn't too pleased with my name, if I compare it to the other ones I've heard so far, I'd say it's pretty good.

Another thing I noticed is that all of my stats apart from the basic ones increased. The status plate didn't show any other power ups, but I felt like a whole bunch of things changed.

I can also feel mana now, but controlling it is still out of question until I get at least 10-15 more levels.

What's interesting is that I have 5 free skill points, even though I only leveled up 4 times.

I guess that means the first level gives two points.

I observed the same thing in Lime's status, so it probably happens to everyone.

Okay, the last thing I wanted to check was my new ability, [chilling touch].

[Abilities]

Chilling touch E

•{consume over 10kg of poison with an ice attribute}

•{keep your sanity}

"What? So I ate more than ten kilograms of that frog, huh. Now that's an achievement if I've eve seen one." I joke around, even though the only one present in the room is me.

"I really wanna know what it does now. Let's see~" I said as I looked at the description of the skill.

•{your attacks apply a movement speed and attack speed debuff}

•{after 10 or more stacks of the debuff, each following stack will do pure damage}

•{consumes 20 mana every attack}

"Hoh, that's pretty strong. And what makes it even better is that the debuff stacks." And what makes it even better, is that every consecutive hit makes the effect stronger.

In other words, if you apply enough stacks of it, it would end up completely freezing the target.

"But there is a downside to all of it. I can use it 7 times at most, which means that I'm unable to trigger the second effect."

The second effect is even better than the first.

Pure damage means that, no matter how high your resistance is, you will still get damaged.

With an ability like that, I have a change to beat someone way stronger than me, as long as I can land enough hits for the debuff to take place.

With a new great ability in my arsenal, it's time to distribute my stat points.

"So I got some strength and agility. Strength is the most basic thing that all melee fighter like me need, and i wanted some agility because of how well that synchronized with strength. High damage and high attack speed, it's as simple as that." That's going to be the way I distribute my stats for a little while, and after that I will upgrade my movement speed and stamina.

I want to leave intelligence for last, because it doesn't do too much for me. I'll upgrade it a little, but not now.

I left the cave, and noticed something interesting a few hours later.

"I'm still not hungry or thirsty. So this frog must have a high nutritional value. Now that I can resist it's poison thanks to the title [cold- blooded], that could become my primary course of food during tundra raids." I thought about it for a while.

Hmm, so what do I do now? Oh, that's right. I need to tame a "leader" wyvern, and use his army to murder some dragons.

I hope they understand human language, otherwise this would be a total failure.

Oh well, I won't find out until I try, will I?

With a bit of wishful thinking and a great deal to offer to the wyverns, I headed out towards the scorching land - the home of wyverns and dragons.
