The guild 2.0

We've walked for a few more minutes and I've finally decided to ask.

"That's great and all, but you three still haven't told me your names. You know, it's not very easy to speak to a person without even knowing how to adress them." I complained.

"Well it's a bit troublesome. We can't reveal out names, but you can come up with a temporary name, so that you can tell us appart." One of the archers said. They all have a very similar voice, so it's hard to tell which one it was.

"You said "we", and you also have a similar appearance and voice, so are you perhaps.." I started.

"Yes, we're triplets. Like twins, but three." She explained.

"Look, you don't have to tell me something so basic. I don't know much abou this place but that doesn't mean I lack brain power or capacity." I felt a little salt when she gave me such a detailed explanation. After all, I'm not a child.

"Anyways, since you can't tell me what your name is, I'll ome up with something.. Let's see.. So, your name is Pepsi, correct?" This question was adressed to the mage.

"Ah? Yes." Okay, that gives me a pretty good idea.

"In that case, I've got the perfect names for you. Your hair is brown, so you're gonna be Coke. Yours is orange, so I'll call you Fanta. And you, you are gonna be Sprite, since your hair is green. How's that sound?" As I gave them those names, I barely managed to hold back my laugh, but boy was it worth it.

As long as they accept the names, that is.

"Oh, I actually kinda like it. Fanta. How did you come up with it?" This was the orange haired archer, fanta's question.

"Oh, well, you know. I've been to some.. places. I meant, where I'm from, this is a pretty common name." It took a lot of effort to say that with a straight face.

We had a little chat about names and other random things, and them I saw some building up ahead. They said they needed to go somewhere, and Pepsi also followed them, so I was left alo once again.

We agreed to meet up in two days, and until then I want to find out more.

I looked around the place, and I can certainly say that it's a proper town. The average look of it was better than that of "Human Kingdom".

Yes, human kingdom is actually not a kingdom, but rather the name of a county. "Beastmen Kingdom" and "Demonic Kindom" are also countires, and each have an island for themselves. The HK and BK islands are close to each other, but the DK is quite far away.

What was interesting is the quality of life here. It was quite good, when compared to all the other places I've seen so far. The style of the building was also different; they were made out of some weird metal-looking material, which had the texture and hardness of plastic.

That's only the walls though. The rest looked pretty much the same as all of the medieval styled buildings in Human Kingdom.

Nice. The adventurer's guild is still present, even in a place like this. I kind of feel like all towns just have to have an adventurer's guild in them. Hmm, this is a good opportunity to make myself a new guild card, and there might just me some new stats which weren't visible before.

I walked into the guild, and the atmosphere was just as great as ever. People were giving me weird looks, and that's understandable for two reasons. Firstly, I was just 18, and I was also weaing clothes which the people of this world haven't seen before.

I walked up to the counter, where a man with a large build was standing.

"Hello, Sir. I'd like to make a guild card." I said and handed him the broken one, which was in my inventory.

"Haha, nice jokes kid. Come back in a few years time, and maybe I'll consider it." The man said and patted me on the head. He didn't seem like a bad person, so I was a little confused. Maybe there's some rule that I'm not familliar with?

"Okay, and what are the requirements to join? Do you have to be of a certain age to join the guild?" I pushed on.

"So you really don't know the basics, just as they told me." The man replied.

"By "they" do you mean the group of three archers and a mage? All girls." If my guess is right, then they haven't told him about my level. Guess I'll have to do the test, as long as it doesn't take too much time. The thing is, even if I were to show him my level, he would rpobably think it's fake, and I really want a guild card.

As an added bonus, I get to test out a few things while I'm at it, and I don' mind having a bit of a relaxing day or two.

"Yes, so you figured it out. Anyways, you seem quite fond of getting a guild card. I'm not in the right to stop you, but are you sure you want to take the test? A lot of beginners die on the first day, so be absolutely sure before you say yes." He kept warning me, and it's fair enough.

"Yup, I'm sure. 100%. And even if I do die, that wouldn't affect the others much, so don't worry. Okay?" I might be a little too casual, but the man isn't taking any offence from my words, so it's fine.

"Alright, but don't blame me for not warning you. The first thing you're gonna want to do is place your hand on this measurement stone, and that will tell you what role you're going to play doring the test." The man handed me a stone.
