29. Guilty

'Please listen to me sir' she finally got close to the inspector. He also turn back to face her taking a glance at her. The girl looked like she belongs to a decent family seems timid and young then why she is with an arrogant criminal like him? He seems confused looking at her waiting for her words.

'Sir, there's nothing illegal here' she said timidly but with determination. She had no idea why he wanted to take him into custody may be he misunderstood them. He thinks that the injury late night is may be by a fight or something, she wanted to clear his doubt and confusion.

Inder was still at the shop without giving a look to Suru who was explaining to the officer. His mind was going crazy thinking as to why she jumped in on this. He was surprised and confused why she just won't let go it's not her matter anyway. There's no need to defend him no one ever did that why her now? It's not her responsibility to take.

'His girlfriend broke a bottle...' she continued as the inspector gave a look to Inder

'...and the glass pieces pierce through his skin in the back' Suru kept explaining in a hurry worrying that what if inspector will not listen or stop her from saying so she decided to let it all out at once. She just wanted them to get out of his situation before it uphill any more.

Suru also actioned along with her words to show how bottle borke after hitting the wall and hurt Inder

'It's just a small misunderstanding

Sir, nothing else' she quickly explained with eyes that's about to cry

Inspector stood still with a rigid face still looking at Inder as he listened to her explanation

'Sir, please' Suru joined her hands and closed her eyes pleading for the officer to understand and let them go

Inspector finally looked at Suru after he finished moving his eyes away from Inder

'Then call that girlfriend...' he nodded at Inder

'to come to the police station as well' after saying this he started moving to his jeep again. This girl is innocent and don't know him but he know, he can't let anyone come in between his duties.

Suru was baffled and had no idea what to do now. She turn to look back at Inder helplessly as Inder look back and starts walking

'Hey, where are you going?' the constable asked Inder

Inder got close to Suru

'Suru, I am telling you go home' he again said seriously giving her an annoyed look so she could leave him alone and go home for god's sake.

'Please listen to me' he asked her again looking in her eyes. Suru made a crying face she didn't wanted to leave him alone she was the reason why he got hurt and had to come here this late. Her conscience will never allow her to leave him after he saved her.

'Please' he said again pestering her to go

'No' she answered determinedly

'This is all my fault, I feel responsible' she explained herself justifying her actions

Inder stared at her as his brows furrowed. He never blamed her it's his fault that she is about to take a visit to police station and was almost injured due to her ex.

'I have to fix this...' she pointed at the officer and ran to him again

'Suru don't...stop' before Inder could stop her she was gone
