CHAPTER 192: PROMISE

Two weeks passed by peacefully after Elisha's funeral.

Blissful days keeps on passing by that Marcus couldn't be at peace within him. Something is not right; he is sure of it. However, he couldn't point what it is—for now.

After the funeral, he knew his father won't sit around just like that. He was actually expecting a disciplinary action but then, to his surprise, nothing happened. Yes, he never heard anything from him which is very suspicious!

No harsh words, no rebukes, no terrifying actions and whatnot.

And that's not Barry's characteristics! Not at all!

The harmony is deafening. It's too good to be true.

Marcus should be happy that Barry hadn't disturb his family for weeks now. But then, instead of being at peace, Marcus feels restless the past few days and that didn't escape Sonny's scrutiny.
