Your Home From Now On

When they had left the hospital earlier, it was already three in the afternoon. By the time traffic cleared up and they reached the villa, it was already around five in the evening. The car ride was long but not unbearable for Selina.

Jason placed a new set of keys in her hands, "This will be your home from now on. Try opening the gates."

She looked at him and blinked a few times before sticking the key into the gate and turning it to the right side. The moment she stepped out of the car and saw the villa, her heart nearly stopped beating. From the gateway to the entrance, there were paths and many blossom trees on the side.

As she pushed the gate opened, her head hadn't stop observing her surrounding in awe. Jason chuckled and guided her to the entrance where she used her new keys to unlock the door. Once she walked in, Jason took out new slippers from the shoe rack and placed it next to her feet.

"These are for you. Mines the blue pair. Yours is pink and guests are gray." She noticed her slippers were the same blush pink color as the gown he had previously prepared for her. It was a rare color to find, and she appreciated his thoughtfulness.

Taking a deep breath, she started following him around for a simple tour. Aaron followed along since he had important matters to discuss with Jason afterwards. As they explored the spacious living room and kitchen area, she noticed how simple the designs were.

Everything was surprisingly an earthy color, making the house look cozy and welcoming to others. From the living room, one could see what's going on in the open kitchen. There were two fridges in the kitchen where one is used to store meat, and the other is for drinks. With one look, she could tell it was fairly new. Perhaps, he recently purchased it.

His living room was as simple as any living rooms of every household. There was a long couch, glass table, television and television stand. The carpet on the floor was soft and furry. Overall, the colors of the items complemented with the rest of the interior design.

Jason led her to the garden area where she saw a garden swing bench. Several paths could be seen created for gardeners to walk around without stepping over plants and dirt. Selina could see herself sitting with a cup of tea in her hands while looking at her blossomed flowers.

Finally, Jason led her upstairs to her room. Upon entering the pastel pink colored door, she gasped in amazement. The walls in the room were rose gold tone with golden decorations of many stars scattered on the ceiling. Curtains were tied to the poles of the canopy bed with three pillows on the blankets.

A custom inside closet was connected to her room where plentiful drawers and hanging space were available to her. Many pieces of clothing were ready for her to wear. Next to the closet was the bathroom where a toilet, sink, bathtub and regular shower were built.

From one look, she could tell he had spent time choosing the furniture for her room and clothes in the closet.

"What do you think of your room? Like it?" He smiled when he saw the twinkling stars in her eyes. It was obvious that she was surprised and loving the detailed room.

"I love it! Thank you!" She clapped her hands together and followed him to the next room.

"And finally, your own art studio." He presented as he opened the door to the brightest room in the villa. Blank canvases of various sizes were leaning against the wall. Brushing her fingers gently against the palettes, brushes and different paints on the long table at the back of the room, a sense of belonging lured her for creation.

With a standing easel in the center of the room, Selina took a large, sized canvas and secured it in place. As if her hands had knowledge of its own, it moved smoothly along the brushes and chose accurately the ones she needed. With the brush and palette in her hands, she naturally swept the tip of her brush on paints and mixed it to many other colors.

Metallic colors were mixed along with other combinations to form unimaginable shades. From the door, Jason and Aaron had their lips parted in surprise when they saw her quick actions. For those who aren't familiar with the art industry, they may think she was splattering random colors without a single theme in mind. In reality, her eyes see past the colors and boldly bring these paints into a living harmony.

Aaron whispered, "Boss. Is Selina playing around with paint or does she actually know what she's doing?"

Jason smiled, "Whatever she does, it's her choice. Let's not disturb her. She looks inspired to do some art and will probably not notice our existence from here on. Didn't you say you had something to discuss with me? Let's go to my study room and check back on her later."

Jason took a seat in his chair while Aaron sat across from him and started reporting work related issues to him.

"In other words, some of our top artists have terminated their contracts with us because the Hans have offered a much higher wage to recruit them. They were also willing to pay for the compensation fee to our company for these artists. The billions of dollars contracts we've signed with other companies will be affected if we don't find someone to continue with the work." Aaron clenched his fists at the low methods the Hans were doing behind the scenes.

Folding his hands on the desk, Jason let out a sardonic smile. "I haven't looked for them, and they've already came to greet me? Interesting. Luckily for me, I already have someone in mind to replace those artists. Compared to her, they're nothing but a bunch of copy cats. Don't release any of the information to the company yet."

Aaron nodded, "Boss, the person you want to look for..."

"Selina. You'll see what I mean in an hour. Let's give our enemies a nice return gift" After discussing this matter, Aaron continued informing him about other works Jason needed to deal with by a certain deadline.

Around an hour and a half later, they finished discussing about work related matters and walked back to the studio. When they entered, they noticed Selina's efficient brush strokes and the tainted brushes in her hands. From thick to thin ones, she has explored them all. Aaron followed Jason around the room and avoided the many palettes with beautifully mixture hues on it.

Aaron was shocked to the core when he looked at the dull colors on the table versus the lively new shades on the palettes. He had never seen these colors in his life! Blinking amusingly at the floor, he felt a tap on his shoulders and looked up. His eyes widened, and mouth dangled open at the sight in front of him.
