You Lost!

Celinda didn't want to affect Selina's performance, so she avoided making a sound during the five minutes competition. She typed on her phone and showed it to Jason.

Celinda: "Is Selina going to be alright?"

Jason took her phone, erased her text and typed his response. "She won't fight in a war she has no confidence in winning."

Celinda nodded and inhaled a deep breath as she focused her eyes on Selina. Her eyes were quickly skimming through lines, while hands were working every other second. The highlighter in her hands was swapped professionally as if she was used to doing this type of work. When she reviewed up to the tenth page, Peter was still stuck on the first.

There were many terms he did not comprehend on the document. As he scratched his head and worriedly placed marks on certain lines of the page, Selina was already close to finishing the document. At the same time, the alarm was less than a minute away from ringing.

Right before the alarm went off, Selina had finished capping the highlighters and pen in her hand. Smiling, she handed her completed document to Aaron's hand. Meanwhile, Peter was still finishing the last sentence on the first page.

Aaron had to pull the document away from him to retrieve it. Since the documents used different colored folders, it was easy to distinguish whose file belonged to whom. The folder Selina worked on was pink. Meanwhile, Peter had the green folder.

After Aaron left with the documents in his hands, Selina hopped over to Jason's side with spread arms. Her eyes were shimmering like her curved smile. Gazing into his eyes, she was clearly asking him for a reward.

Smiling, he pinched her nose, making her squeeze her eyes closed. She tilted her head and tiptoed. "Mmm?"

Chuckling, he bent down and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Pulling her in his embrace, he whispered. "Good job."

"Teehee, I know~" She replied with a silly expression.

Her sweet smile was contagious to the Hui family as all of them began to smile along. Celinda asked, "How come you're so confident to challenge him?"

"Because I'm the one who helped your brother with the documents from his company. I did it for fun when I was bored at his office. We kept our discussions confidential when we spoke about certain projects, but the ones I could review were all done by me. It's like a natural instinct for me to highlight using different colors. Not that hard." Selina rubbed her cheek against Jason's shirt, breathing in his cologne.

Meanwhile, she enjoyed his warmth since the air conditioner was a bit high in the office.

Within twenty minutes, Aaron brought the CFO into the office. When he entered the office, everyone's eyes were on the young man behind him. The CFO was none other than Peter's friend, Antonio Liam.

Antonio was shocked to see a group of people in Peter's office. With the two documents in his hands, he stood at the center of the room. Antonio smiled when he saw Selina in the room. Although he didn't understand why she was hugging a stranger in front of Peter, he was only here to present the results of his professional opinion.

Lifting both files up in his hands, he said. "Honestly, there was no point in having me review both files. Only one of them was detailedly marked and it was the pink folder. The other one is considered trash, because none of the pen and highlighter marked areas had problems. The person only went through the first page, leaving the rest untouched. Whoever worked on the green folder should be fired immediately."

Since the colored folders were used to distinguish between their works, Antonio did not know who corrected which documents. In the past, it was Selina who helped Peter with every file on his desk. In recent months, Peter's assistant was the one who helped him with basic corrections in exchange for a raise. Hence, he did not have any experience in spotting corrections.

Hearing Antonio's response, Selina's winning smile was evident. She sighed, "Well. Well. Well. Didn't somebody say that a girl like me with no recollection of my past had no capability of managing a company? Then my question for you, CEO Sin, is..."

She took the files from Antonio's hands and threw it into Peter's face. "How can a mighty CEO like you, lose to a girl who doesn't even remember her past? I don't see how shameful it is for me to take over this company when it is a gift from my darling. At the same time, it is you who are a shame to all CEO's in the industry, because you are one of the most incapable businessmen who only lives by the title. Without the CEO title, you have no skills whatsoever to manage a business."

"As for whatever past we ever had, I must have been blind to ever like someone like you. Thank goodness I don't remember you. Since you've lost the bet, it's only fair for you to fulfill the agreement we had."

Spinning a pen in her hand, she walked over to where the business ownership agreement was. In the matter of seconds, she signed her name on all the x marks. Handing the document back to Aaron, she closed the pen cap, threw it towards the desk and watched it sit into the pen holder.

"Congratulations, Selina. You are now the CEO of Sin Corps." Aaron smiled.

"Since I have ownership of this business, I would like to change the name of it into something else. As for the name of the new corporation, I want to name it S&J. What do you think?" She walked back towards Jason and held his hands.

"Whatever you want." He hugged her by her waist, supporting her fully. Compared to dealing with enemies in her place, it gave him better satisfaction seeing her act like a queen in front of them. Though she hasn't completely recovered her memory, he wouldn't let anyone who did her wrong, live in peace.

Rotating her head towards Peter, she said. "As for you, I'll have a script written just for you to announce how you lost your CEO position to a girl who lost her memories. Since you love looking down on others and mentioning memory loss, I'll have you admit to losing your position to me in front of all MY employees."

"Inside the script, I'll make sure to mention everything you lack and how incapable you were as a CEO. By the end of the day, the entire world will know about you. You are a failure as a CEO, who doesn't understand the basics of how business operates. I'll make you the laughingstock in front of the media and my staff."

Peter stared at the documents on the desk. The one she highlighted was indeed, very detailed. In the meantime, the document he did was truly disappointing. Within an hour later, he stepped out in front of all media and his former staffs.

Clearing his throat, he read the script in his hands, full of shame. The words were directly attacking his insecurities, making him want to dig a hole to hide in. Camera flashes and endless questions chased after his announcement. In an hour, the live press conference he made, hit the highest number of views. Everyone saw how embarrassed he was when he admitted to his empty title.

At the end of his speech, he saw many smiles on his former employees' faces. His eyes widened when he saw how happy they were to see him in such haggard appearance. There were few faces that he recognized amongst the crowd.

One of them was the manager in the human resources department. He briefly recalled making the manager stay overtime despite her pleads about her child running a high fever at the hospital. She was on the verge of tears, and he threatened her using her job.

Another staff he recognized was the custodian. He used to make a mess, thinking it was the custodian's job to clean up his office. He would leave ashes and cigarette stains for him to scrub. Even though the custodian had suggested for him to use an ash tray, he still continued making things difficult for him.

Flashbacks of how he treated his employees appeared in his mind. Indeed, the past him, was a disgrace. He didn't give them an ounce of respect they deserved. Even though he paid them a salary, he didn't realize they were an important asset to the company. Most importantly, without them, he wouldn't be sitting in the office all day with only few documents to work on.

He truly regretted. But it was too late to make amends.

While everyone's attention was on Peter, nobody caught Shirley's figure in one of the vehicles from across the street. She saw Peter's conference online and rushed to the company. Luckily the cameraman caught a glimpse of Selina's face and she spotted it.

"Our target is the short girl in pink." She spoke into the phone.
