chapter one

Okay i know this sounds weird but I died. But not in a bad way...well kinda in a bad way. You see when i was at university, a random drunk guy ran at me shouting, " I ain't gonna let you date anyone else you bitch!" and then he stabbed me. I think it was because I dated his ex or something, I dunno dude.

Well yeah, I'm a 22 year old that just died and now I'm here in this random space. As I look around I spot a random dude or something in a suit. He looks like he would be handsome but i couldn't tell because he had no face. "Hi there kid," he said. His voice was otherworldly. It was as if he was a hundred people as one.

*blink blink*... after I stared at him for a good 3 minutes or so he spoke again. " Aren't you going to freak out or something? I'm god. Who did you expect?" 

"I dunno,"  I said, giving a shrug. I didn't really care much for this as I was just killed. So it's not like i needed to do something other than just chill in my spiritual body. Maybe I'll be going into a fantasy world like those novels I used to read.

"I see you think nothing of this. So you want to go into a fantasy world eh? I could send you there if you like." God suddenly said, as if he was reading my thoughts.

"That would be fun. But I want to customize myself. If that would be ok." I responded. I didn't want a random harem because that would be too much. I also didn't want to fight a demon lord or become a king. Nothing extravagant.

God stood there quietly as if he was thinking then he said, " I'll give you three wishes, like one of those classic genies. I heard the three wish policy is really popular for the other gods. Oh? You thought I was the only one? Hahahaha! Of course not. I'm just the god of souls. No, not the god of death. He is too emo to be me."

The entire time god talked, he kept on reading my mind as if it was nothing. It was starting to piss me off. Eventually, he stopped his ranting and looked at me.I think he was finally ready to hear my conditions.

Now thinking about it, I wanted a peaceful life. I didn't want to feel pain. Like a zombie but not. I wanted to be able to do magic like others. As i kept on thinking about what i should ask for. The God of souls clapped his hands once and shouted.

" I got it! Here is what I'll do. I'll make you into a grand soul!"

Grand soul? What the hell is that? Also this guy wasn't even listening to anything I was saying.

Quickley the God of souls responded to my thoughts. " I mean that you will be something like a ghost but a lot stronger. A grand soul! Grand soul can possess anything. They can't die, get hurt, or need to eat or drink. Unless you possess a living thing. You also have the powers that the thing you possess have. And because you are a grand soul, your power amplifies your host's stats! There! That's your first wish done!"

*Staaaaaare*. After glaring at him for a long time, I ended up giving up on intimidating him. He wouldn't back down from this. Instead I began to think what I wanted for my other two wishes. I guess I should ask for an average life for a spirit like me.

Looking up at the God of souls, I spoke, " Ok. so I want to have a simple life. Something like what an average grand soul would have. Does that sound ok for my second wish?" God nodded and clapped his hands once a second time. 

" Alrighty! And for your last wish?" he asked. 

Well that worked out ok. It seems like I'm getting the hang of this. Ok, I'm not quite sure what I want for my third wish. I guess I'll let him decide what to do…. Wait. that was a bad idea-

"Too late!" God shouted as he clapped his hands again. Oh shit. Full of excitement, God explained what my third wish was. 

" I'm brilliant! This is the best gift for you. I'm going to give you the gift of knowledge. Whenever someone askes you a question or if you wonder somthing, you will instantly know it. And since you can't experience any pain, the sharp stab in your conciusnes will not affect you at all! Alrighty! That's all of your wishes used up! As a bonus I'll transport you in a mountain with monsters that you can possess! Good luck!"

Before I was even able to procces what was going on, I felt a terrible feeling in my gut. Everything began to spin around me. My sight was warped and my stomach hurt. Suddenly all of the pain was gone and I was able to think clearly. When I opened my eyes, I saw a beutiful waterfall flowwing down a tall mountain. Looking around, there were clear skies and lush forest surrounding the mountain. Amazing.
