"Father!" A man roughly six feet in height appeared from a door that lead from his study. A dignified jaw, hair the color of charcoal and eyes like amber. "Seris dear, come eat we just started." Aria called sweetly. "Certainly, let me wash this ink off first." Rubbing at his hands, sore from the long night of writing. "The paperwork never ends" he mused. "Oh now, don't say that, it's only once in a blue moon you must work like this." Aria chirped "Besides, you look cute with your disheveled hair."
Father had been known to ruffle and twirl his hair when he was working, he said it helped to calm him. Though with the color of his eyes he would often give the impression of a mad man.
At that comment he turned to face her, eyes wide and crazy. He charged at Aria. Before she could react he had picked her up. "Sorry son, I must steal your mother for a bit, she must be punished for her rude comment!" Aria was over his shoulder squirming and squealing in delight. She was quite ticklish, and Seris knew this. "No father, spare her!" Korvath jumped from his chair and ran to grab his fathers legs. "We're in the middle of eating!" He had wrapped himself around his leg completely.
His wife on one shoulder his son latched to his leg, he limped around the hall. A pirate with a peg leg. "Father!" All three of them were laughing. "You know our son is right." Aria gasped between breaths. "Oh, alright." The mad man was defeated! Placing his wife down, she reached to gently touch his face. Blushed. A light peck. "Come let us eat." With a chuckle "Yes dear."
