Ch.90

We ended up in above the Mirkwood near the Lonely Mountain. The wood elves below must've been shitting themselves with how massive Drogon was and the army of dragons behind him. We landed near Erebor and the Lonely Mountain which by the sound of the villagers nearby, wasn't so lonely. With a trip into town and some rest, I let the dragons feast on fish and water down stream of the river.

Drogon nearly caused a drought drinking and eating his fill. Still, Sansa was able to get the information we needed. Apparently ten years prior a dragon named Smaug set up shop in the lonely mountain and it could talk! She had been adamant that it was amazing, but we were too tired and weary from our recent losses and while she didn't want to dwell on them, she was exhausted as well.

After some rest, I took the dragons without the women to meet with Smaug. Smaug didn't want to share anything or even do much besides trying to eat me. That didn't end well for him because Drogon was a lot begged than him and tore open the lonely mountain to tear Smaug apart. It was a bloody feeding frenzy after that because Smaug was just big enough to feed them for a good long while.

They didn't care for gold so I took it all into my ring, Arkenstone included. Once all the weapons, gold, Mithril and stuff was cleaned out, I used magic to pull all that hadn't been mined from the earth. When I finished and their meal was done, I returned to town to get the women before we flew to Gondor and to the sea from there. The mountains near Lamedon were taken as nests while the sea had more than enough food for the dragons.

Drogon got into a fight with a kraken and ate it before relaxing in the water. The other dragons were happy so we stayed and I built a manor. No more than a century and a half passed while the dragons hatched their own eggs burning deer and fish in the flames with the eggs before the babies hatched and ate the charged remains. The dragons grew in number, but died within a century except Drogon who was nearly four centuries old now and big enough to constitute pretending to be a small island when he swims.

Unfortunately Osha grew weary of living forever and said her goodbyes before taking off her ring. We'd watched her age and die peacefully in bed after decades. Sansa was next, only she'd just taken off her ring when Gandalf the Grey and a contingent of Dwarves came with Bilbo the hobbit, asking about gold and a jewel. I raised my eyebrow and asked how they'd think we had anything.

Thorin the dwarf leader, said the humans said they saw dragons and around the same time dragons began nesting in the mountains nearby while Smaug's corpse was all that remained besides a half destroyed mountain. I shrugged. "Still, what makes you think we have whatever it is you're looking for? Do you see anything that belongs to you here? These dragons don't give a damn about gold or jewels."

Gandalf smoked his pipe and an army of goblins riding beasts came too king for trouble. I whistled and Drogon raised his head. Gandalf dropped his pipe and nearly caught his beard on fire. I pointed to the goblin army and Drogon roared before the mountains nearby echoed.

The sky filled with dragons and Drogon climbed out over us before releasing an army vanquishing breath of fire. He and the other dragons feasted while I lit a joint and sat on my beach chair, watching the screaming goblins die. None made it out alive to say the least and even the big white one was only apart of many Drogon ate in one bite. Sansa and Doreah watched amused while the shocked and terrified dwarves stood behind the equally shocked wizard.

I grunted. "If y'all are done playing twenty questions, you can leave at any time."

Doreah asked them to stay for drinks because they were the first visitors we'd had in over a century. Gandalf stayed if only to watch Drogon go back into the water. I grunted. "Damned lizard only leaves the sea to get fresh water or mate unless called on. He only listens when it suits him these days."

Sansa sighed. "He misses Daenerys."

I winced and closed my eyes. "I miss them all, but I'm not keen on joining them in the afterlife, not yet anyways."

Sansa sighed again and Doreah told them not to mind us because I was older than dirt and Sansa was a few centuries old now like herself only tired of outliving everyone we love. Gandalf asked where we were from and I grunted. "Do you know of worlds beyond this one? Of dimensions and realities?"

He frowned at the concept so I explained the multiverse to him, from worlds they'd not dared to dream to those exactly like this one only with different choices made like the destruction of the one ring happening long ago instead of it floating about where anyone could pick it up. I flicked Bilbo's head and turned to Gandalf. "You've no need to fear though. Such trinkets don't hold real power, only power over fools."

I showed him my ring and the magic he felt shocked him to his core. I touched his head and showed him everything from microcosms to multiverses and the omniverse as a whole. He jolted back to his body as his hair turned white and his power grew a great deal. I tilted my head and put away the power my ring held, passing him a joint before heading inside.

Thorin asked kindly for the stone at least to unite the dwarves when I came out with iced tea. I raised an eyebrow and made it appear before tossing it to him. He caught it and Bilbo said he was promised gold. I waved a hand and dropped a chest on his toes. He hollered in pain before I shrugged. "Best not to tempt fate again little hobbit. The next chest could land on something more damaging. I don't give things away for free unless I do so on my own terms. I figured I owed the dwarves something since they owned the place even if they abandoned it before the dragon and never came back to fight said dragon."

I turned to the others. "Don't expect anything from me. Your king or whatever has his stone, that's all you're getting. I may not have a use for the gold, but I certainly don't see a reason I should give it to you or anyone. Now if you'll leave quietly before I decide you look better roasted and eaten by dragons."

They grimaced and Thorin thanked me. I nodded. "From a former immortal king to a future king, remember, treasures and trinkets mean nothing. It's the lives of your people you should treasure, because without them you're just a man on a hill of dirt giving orders to rocks."

He nodded and thanked me before Gandalf asked. "How long we're you a king?"

I shrugged. "I ruled over men for eight thousand years, but I ruled over an army of demons for billions of years. I sort of lost my mind back then, sent back in time before humans existed and lived amongst demons trying to eat me. I sort of ended up becoming their god so they worshipped me for a time. When nothing can kill you and you can kill everything, it's kind of hard not to live an interesting life."

He nodded sagely and I told him I slaughtered all the demons when mankind came around again so no big deal there. When they left, we moved and the dragons came with us. We ended up staying in Rivendell while the dragons stayed in the Misty mountains and feasted in the river that led to the seas. The mountains were even big enough for Drogon to live in them so he took up residence there, coming to the river each season to meet with me and drink his fill. Fifty years passed in the blink of an eye while we lived amongst the elves of Rivendell and Sansa had put her ring back on the day we'd arrived so she hadn't aged more than a few days.

Drogon ate the squid outside the mines of Moria when I decided to take him for a ride on this particular day. He'd scooped it out and ate the giant thing in a couple chard bites before drinking the lake dry. He ate the few flopping fish at the bottom as well while I met with the dwarves who'd been having trouble with the creature. They eyed Drogon wearily except Balin, one of the few dwarves that were from the group that arrived at my place.

They were having Orc issues and needed help apparently so I had them lead the orc and mountain trolls outside. They watched Drogon eat them then try to climb into the mountain for more. I chuckled and patted his leg before he backed away. I drew my swords and told them. "Keep the doors open and stay out of Drogons way until I return. When they're dead you can come collect the bodies and toss them outside to Drogon in the dried up lake."

The dwarves wanted to fight, but I stabbed myself in the heart to their shock before pulling the blade out unharmed. "I'm immortal and can't be killed. No matter how many of them there are they simply cannot beat me. You however will be overrun and dead rather easily."

Balin agreed and I told them to make camp because I'd be back out by morning with or without having killed them all. It was a very long night and I hid from a freaking Balrog cause fire demons I didn't sign up for. That is until it notices me hanging from the ceiling so I dropped down and buried my swords in it's head. It died rather easily to my surprise and broke apart into ashes.

I was disappointed, but irked because the orcs returned. It was a very long night and I looked like a pincushion when I walked out. I grunted as Balin pulled the arrows out. "Orcs are dead, Balrogs are dead, all three of them. Feel free to dump the bodies in the lake once the arrows are out of me."

Balin patted my shoulder and thanked me but I snorted. "For this I want half the Mithril in this place. I don't care about your thanks, pay me."

He looked shocked but agreed when he saw the near full massive halls of dead orbs and Balrogs. I kept the arrows, bows and weapons of the dead orcs and mountain trolls. Hell, I even kept their armor before they were tossed to Drogon. He waited until the lake was filled and a giant mound was made of dead bodies before he roasted and ate them all, waiting on more before long.

Sure enough he got his fill before he called in the other dragons to eat. He took a mouth full back to the nests while the younger dragons are dead roasted orc. The dwarves continued to dump orcs for several days because there were just that many. I retrieved my throwing stars and bolts from my crossbow while I watched them resettle their kingdom under the mountains.
