Mr. Lee

—Mr. Lee's POV—

Swish! 

A faint crunching noise could be heard as Mr. Lee and his group walk on dried grass and tree branches. 

'Sigh'

Never in all his life could he imagine that he would be in an unexplainable situation such as this.

Lee Hye-Song or most often called Mr. Lee was a teacher in Seoul, South Korea, without a wife and children, he fully dedicated his life in teaching high school students and because of that every batch of class he teach loved him and easily become their favorite teacher.

On the day of his birthday, he was sitting on a chair inside his faculty pretending to work like just any normal day.

But still he can't calm himself from excitement and expectation since every year on his birthday, his class would always surprise him with different acts and approaches.

"Aaaaaaa! " 

"Help meeeee!" 

Suddenly, screams could be heard from the hallway. 

'I wonder what is it about this time? A hostage-taking incident? A breakout of zombies? Or something else I didn't even know? Anyway I'll play along with them whatever act they throw at me' He thought to himself while smiling slyly. 

He looked at the student helping him check out the test papers. 

'Hmm... nice acting, I wonder how many days of practice and preparation they have spent just to surprise me, silly kids.' He nodded his head in satisfaction and smiled. 

The student before him seems to be really anxious because his hand is trembling as he checks the test papers. He also glances back and forth from the test paper to the window.

'Damn it! why are they screaming? Those are not even in the script that we were practicing for weeks!' The student thought. 

Looking to be a little hesitant, he stood up and nervously said. 

"Ehem... S-sir, I'll go and check what is happening outside" The student silently cleared his throat, anxious that their surprise for Mr. Lee mess up somehow.

Narrowing my brows, I said in a serious tone.

"Go ahead, I was about to say that too since they are disturbing the classes in the nearby rooms." 

The student walked towards the door and opened it.

What greeted him was a sleek, feathered, bipedal dinosaur standing at 4 meters tall with narrow, sharply defined snout and forward-looking eyes!

"What the heck?!" The student covered his mouth in shock. 

How can he not? Besides being shocked because the dinosaur was not included in their plan, the dinosaur before him looks to be even more realistic than the one you can see in Jurassic Park movie.

Even Mr. Lee was shocked, he didn't know how could they make such a realistic utahraptor costume!

But he was still smiling because not only his students put a lot of effort into his birthday, they have even done their research as he didn't tell anyone that he liked dinosaurs!

But suddenly something horrifying happened. As if examining, the dinosaur looked at the student with its eyes.

"Hey what happened to our pla—Aaaah!" He was about to touch the dinosaur.

The student wasn't able to finish what he was saying when the dinosaur bit him in his shoulder. He tried to free himself but to no avail as the utahraptor wouldn't let that happen.

The utahraptor used its weight and pushed the student down and started clawing his stomach with its hind legs.

With the last bit of his strength the student tried to look at Mr. Lee "S-s-si..r!! R-run…l—li..ve!"

"What?!!!"

Everything happened in a flashed, I stood up from my seat as I screamed in terror. If I still don't realize what is happening then I would have lived my whole life in vain.

Seemingly unconcerned about his existence, the dinosaur continued to eat his prey.

I do not know why but a sudden force was telling me to jump into the window, it may have been what they so-called instinct of a living being to live. 

"I've no choice but to do it!" Tears and snot running down my face, my student words keep echoing in my head I ran as fast as I could and jump through the window.

"Ahhhh!!!!" I shielded my face with my arms and screamed as I fall.

Fortunately, his faculty was located on the second floor of the building so he only sustained some minor injuries and plus there are some plants scattered that help reduce the force of the fall.

After that, he also saw other people from the school who escaped from the building. 

Forming a group of 35 people, they have decided to seek help and leave from the School area as far as possible to only encounter a pack velociraptors because of that their numbers were further reduced by more than half. 

After three days of traveling around, the 14 people who have survived along with Mr. Lee met a bunch of primitive-looking people who only wore leather outfits and carrying makeshift weapons.

Some of them are also like their group, came from the earth and drag by the "warp" to this place many years ago as they spoke some languages such as Korean that originates from Earth. 

Mr. Lee and his group accepted their invitation to join their clan and settled there since then. 

Seven years have passed ever since they have been unknowingly warped from Earth to Alteria. Although life's been hard for the first few months, they have slowly adapted to life here. 

And right now Mr. Lee along with another was instructed to teach these five new clansmen who have recently joined them on how to survive and fight. 

They have moved to another island and are currently looking for dinosaurs to hunt when one of them suddenly spotted a young man being attacked by two dinosaurs that look to be an oviraptor. 

"Mr. Lee! There's a guy over there being attacked! What do we do?" 

'Base on his clothing he seems to have been warped here just recently and is most likely to have no combat experience and a decent weapon.' Mr. Lee observed the young man.

"Let's go quickly and help him out!" Mr. Lee commands his party, Mr. Lee led his party and positioned themselves where they can easily shoot the oviraptors. 

Each of them took out their bows and prepared to shoot. 

Mr. Lee then gave the signal as he shoots the arrow from his bow and said.

"Shoot them!"

'Shit! If it's alone I can still manage to kill it, two might not kill me but It will be difficult I might get seriously injured." He bit his lips as he resolves himself on fighting with the two oviraptor even if it cost him a limb. 

Laravel's situation is grave as he was out of time thinking and the only thing he could do was to fight both of the dinosaurs.

The oviraptors' attack was about to land when suddenly an arrow was launched into the air from somewhere and hit the approaching oviraptor on its left eye!

Phew!

Both of the dinosaurs stopped their attacks and looked around in confusion. 

It was then followed by a barrage of six arrows!

Phew! Phew! Phew!

Although only half of them hit their target, it still dealt considerable damage as two of the arrows hit the oviraptor who was already shot in its left eye while the last arrow hits the other oviraptor on its right leg!

Keooook!!! The oviraptors shrieked in anguish from pain.

Laravel didn't miss this chance as he immediately grabbed a pointed rock nearby and tried to smash the oviraptor who was hit by the arrows intending to finish it.

Whoosh!

His attack hit nothing but the air as the oviraptor jumped backward to avoid his attack! 

He immediately followed it and ignored the other oviraptor as it was pinned down by an arrow on its left leg.

It tried to counterattack by slashing at him while he was running towards it when he suddenly dodged towards its left side!

And then he attacked again from that side as he smashed the pointed rock on its head.

Piyak!

It shrieked as the rock hits its head and fell to the ground. It wasn't able to dodge this time as Laravel used its blinded left eye for his advantage. He sidestepped and attacked from the side in which it won't be able to react in time.

A gaping hole appeared on its head as blood dripped from it. Laravel then immediately smash the dinosaur repeatedly on the ground until it stopped moving.

The remaining oviraptor tried to move sluggishly with its handicapped feet to avoid the arrows being launched into the air but eventually died when a couple of arrows hits its head.

'Whew' 

Laravel heave a sigh of relief as he looked towards the west of the canyon. 

Although he was prepared to fight the oviraptors to death, he still felt indignant because he had yet to accomplish his dream so he was truly grateful to the people who have lent him a hand.

"Hmm." He analyzed them while they are approaching.

From there, he saw seven people wearing pants and a jacket made out of leather with some kind of crest attached to it walking towards his location.

They are also holding a wooden bow on each of their hands which seemed to be the one they used to help him out and finally a bent sword made out of bones were hanging on their waist.

Although their clothes look shabby like those primitive men who lived on Earth thousands of years ago he didn't feel terrified as they even helped him out, rather if they really wanted to kill him they could have done so in the very beginning while attacking the two oviraptors.

Instead of fear, he was confused as they came closer because he was able to see their features more clearly.

One of them had distinctive features of small eyes with a black pupil, medium stature and a slender build of a typical Korean, Japanese or Chinese while the other six people look to have the feature of a European like thick eyebrows, average-sized eyes, and different pupil colors ranging from dark brown to light blue and tall.

And finally, he observed the crest which looks like an eagle on their chest area. 

Men of different origins that looked like to be in the same group or organization is approaching him but he can't figure out their intentions why they helped him.

Meanwhile the said group has finally arrived and the six people scattered around to retrieve their arrows while the other one walked towards him.

"Greetings young man." The Asian-looking guy spoke and greeted him. 

"Thank you and greetings back to you mister." 

The guy who greeted him spoke in English, although he was a little shocked as he didn't expect it nevertheless, he didn't show it on his face and greeted back immediately.

"Sorry to be rude but may I ask who are you people?" 

He finds it weird to see a strange composition of a group, wearing primitive outfits and can also speak English so he directly asked him a question.

"Ahh yes I forgot to introduce myself so it's fine. My name's Lee Hye-Song but you can call me Mr. Lee, that's what everyone calls me." 

Mr. Lee introduced himself and then pointed to his subordinates as he introduce them

"And those guys over there were Steven, Jake, Nicolai, Elliot, and Morgan, they've been recently "warped" here just like you. They were friends on the internet who have decided to meet up in real life but was warped while they are hanging out."

They nodded their heads when each of their names were called out.

""Warped", you mean..." Mr. Lee beat him to it before he could finish what he was about to say

"Yes, we have been "warped" here from the Earth" As if he didn't notice the shocked expression on Laravel's face, he continued.

"And last but not the least was Melody, unlike us who have been warped in here, she was born and raised here by her father who came from the Earth and her mother who was an Alterian native."

"Mmm" She smiled as she bowed her head.

Laravel nodded to each of them.

Mr. Lee then said. "We are all part of the same clan, I'm training these kids how to survive, fight, and hunt." 

He paused and then looked back at Laravel. 

"You must have a lot of questions but please save that for later and introduce yourself first." 

Although he had a lot of questions he wanted to ask, Laravel agreed to introduce himself first. 

"Alright."
