Kirito and Asuna boarded their plane. They both let out "wows" as they looked around the plane with its large window in the cabin's living and dining room. The kitchen to the left was bigger and fuller that the one in their apartment. The whole cabin of the plane was larger than their apartment.
"Welcom!" A voice came from a hole in the ceiling as light poured in and a woman appeared in front of them dressed in a blue skirt suit with red and white lines and cute little blue hat. She was pale and a little shorter than Asuna and had short white hair and violet eyes that looked like a firework exploded in them "I'm Kaori. I'll be your attendant for you flight— Mr. and Mrs. Kirigaya." She smiled.
"You can just call us Kirito and Asuna." Kirito said as he noticed the steam coming off of Asuna.
"Wonderful— Kirito and Asuna. Welcome to the Kyoto. Please feel free to look around while your crew does their final checks before take off. Can I bring you anything? We have a fully stocked kitchen and bar." She gestured towards the kitchen.
"Um, no. I think I'm good for now, what about you Mrs. Kiriga— oof." She punched him in the ribs and her eyebrow twitched as she stood back up.
"I'm fine as well. Thank you
Kaori." Asuna bowed quickly before continue to gawk at that planes kitchen.
"Wonderful! I'll be back soon to go over the safety features and preparations for take off." The light from the ceiling opened up again, Kaori faded and after a moment the light closed.
"Is she a hologram?" Asuna asked.
"Yes.. and more. If you noticed there was a delay between her image closing and the light in the ceiling." He rubbed his chin. "My guess, she's a hologram that also uses nano-bots to perform physical tasks. That's why the light stayed open, the nano-bots have to go somewhere and charge while they wait to be used again."
Asuna smiled, as she watched Kirito rub his chin, looking slightly envious. He's been working on a similar concept for the last couple months at work.
The couple was in awe as they explored the cabin of the jet. Plush leather seats and a couch. A large television on the wall that had arches on either side. Behind the television was a bathroom with a large shower with several water jets.
As Asuna walked passed the bathroom her eyes went wide. "I've never been on a private jet this nice. It has a bed!"
"I know!" Kirito giddily walked up beside her. "Also: I win. I've never been on any private jets."
"What about— never mind." She lowered her head knowing he wouldn't drop it.
"I was unconscious on that flight. Definitely doesn't count." He peered down at her, still too excited about this plane to let the memories of Project Alicization to ruin it.
"The flight back was also private." She pointed out.
"That was a helicopter. So I still win." He smiled before running and jumping onto the bed.
Asuna giggled before walking to the bed and sitting on the edge staring back towards the front of the plane. Kirito crawled up behind her and kissed her cheek before resting his chin on her shoulder and taking a deep breath.
"You seem to be a little more at ease." She said as she reached up to brush through his soft raven hair.
"Mmm, yeah. My mom said some stuff that helped. I think my head is starting to clear up. I think I'm just about ready to take care of this mess." He looked up towards the front of the plane now with a hint of confidence back in his eyes. Asuna turned toward him and pulled him into a proud kiss and thought to herself. "There's my Kirito. I knew it wouldn't take him long to get here."
"Pardon my intrusion Kirito and Asuna." Kaori suddenly appeared. The couple broke from their kiss with amused smiles and crinkled noses as they turned to their holographic attendant.
"Your crew is ready for take off."
