Epilogue

Opening my eyes, I gasp for air as I catch my breath; sweats are running all over my face. I place a hand on my chest, and then I gently rub my palm to feel a liquid substance, confirming if there's blood. For a moment, I suddenly realize there isn't. There wasn't any blood nor just a drip of that sticky red liquid coming out from my body. I stare on my hand, wondering why and how all those things feel like so real, like I am the one dying.

I try to convince and persuade myself that is just a trance; a bizarre trance about her together with some of the characters in Greek myth. I clear my mind. I gently close my eyes again as the fresh blow of cold air slaps my face, giving me a feeling of relaxation. I need to relax. That is all just a daydream, Cupid.

"Are you listening to us, Charido Arganthone Cupid?" Christine says, pinching my ear.

Immediately, I catch her hand, taking her hand away from my ear as I put it down to the side. Then, I caress my ear that was throbing due to the strong pinching. "H-hey! Stop it, Tin." I look at her, opening my eyes again.

She looks at me as if she could not believe on how I am reacting to her. "Are you listening to me?" she asks again, repeating her question.

"Y-yeah?" I force a smile which soon after failed in an instant, making it look awkward.

She rolls her eyes, not buying my reply to her. She then hisses as she puts her hands on her waist. "If you're listening, what did I say?" One of her eyebrows raises in a questioning manner.

"Ahh..." Rubbing my nape, I gaze to our other siblings - Carl, Chad, and Claire – asking for help. They are all sitting on the bench next to the fish pond. But just how unlucky I am, my siblings seem not to bother helping me. They all are busy doing their own thing.

"What did you say again, Harm?" I ask, smiling innocently. Slowly, I show my most genuine-looking and innocent smile. I also make my eyes as helpless and no idea as possible, trying so hard to look like a lost puppy in her sight.

"As I expected from you, you sleepy head, you're not listening." She sighs, flipping her hair. "Okay. Are you really interested to Psyche? 'Coz if you do, we, I and Claire, can help you about that," she utters. A grin was creeping on her lips.

"Hey! I'm not into her. You're imagining things again, Tin. I really do-" My words are cut halfway before I can defend myself clearly when my attention was caught by the girl not far from us. My head turns, my eyes stick to the girl walking towards the pond. She's very beautiful and gorgeous with her angelic face that can lure every guy's attention. "Psyche."

"Wooh! Cupid is a real man now," Chad shouts loudly, not minding that he'll get other people's attention. "Congrats, bro!" He says, bumping his fist on my shoulder.

I glance at him with my brows furrowed. I don't know what he is saying.

"You really don't, huh? But you're actions contradict your words," Christine mocks, smirking.

"Finally! Cupid is in love!" They cheer loudly, messing my hair. I throw them a warning look. Yet, they did not give a damn care. They continue cheering as if they about to win a bet.

Before I could even say a word to stop them, they suddenly push me towards Psyche's direction.

What the? What are they thinking? Are they insane? I'm not in love with that girl, Psyche, am I?
