chapter 6
It has been a few days since I arrived in Kyoto and things were really strange ever since I arrived.
I've had this strange feeling as if someone was watching my every move without me knowing and following me everywhere. This stalker was also most definitely a supernatural creature that was at least above the Ultimate class barrier, this was due to the fact that he or she has managed to keep their presence hidden from me, who is already close to the ultimate class level after a particularly grueling session of training in the ID, that, or this person has a sacred gear that allows them to keep themselves hidden.
Aside from this problem, I am seriously starting to think if I should change my residence from Kuoh to Kyoto. I knew beforehand that Kyoto had ley lines and was spiritually rich, but it was only after I arrived here that I started to sense the ridiculous amount of energy in the air. the energy was almost corporeal due to the sheer density. But there was one problem keeping me from buying a house here and settling down in this place.
The fact that I was already struggling with the IDs I created in Kuoh which were progressively getting harder and harder to complete, I knew for a fact that I would be crushed like a bug if I opened an ID in this city. That and the fact that I would be very close to the main location that was frequented by the Shinto gods. I cannot allow being of that caliber to learn of my existence, Not yet.
It was also during these days of rest that I spent moving around the city and amusing myself that I completed the side quest. resulting in me once more gaining stats. but then another quest unlocked which resulted in me almost drooling over the reward.

Hyperbolic Time Chamber usage token:
This token is used to access the hyperbolic time chamber created by the system. the player can only access the chamber for five days in real-time due to the low level of the Player. the time dilation effect is similar to its counterpart in the series Dragon ball. one day equals one year inside the chamber. However, it does not have the same weakness as the counterpart. it can be used any number of times, provided the user gains the required tokens for its use and there is a time limit that depends completely on the Player's level.

This thing is the ultimate training destination for me. Imagine if I could open an ID in the chamber with a time dilation of two days. that would mean that I would be able to use the chamber for 10 years instead of five-

"sigh, guess I will need to start my routine in this town after all, I hope that I don't end up dead in the ID because of the ridiculous energy of this town" I mumbled as I headed out of the Hotel room I had got in Kyoto, heading towards the nearby forest.

Some distance away from John, two women can be seen sitting in a cafe and watching him head towards his hotel,
"What do you think Amaterasu-sama?" asked the woman with golden hair
"There is no mistake that the child hold divinity in him, Yasaka, however, it does not belong to Inari as we initially thought, although it is extremely similar to her divinity, there are some inconsistencies, for one, his divinity has successfully merged with whatever demonic power resides within him, this is something that is absolutely impossible for Inari's bloodline to do because of her own nature, at the same time, I can also sense that the boy's divinity is also much more powerful than that of any deity in the Shinto religion, including me," she said as Yasaka looked at Amaterasu stupidly, unable to comprehend how that was possible.
It must be noted that after the death of the Christian God, there are only a selected few gods who are able to claim themselves as the strongest in the world, even though Amaterasu was not the strongest, she was still a very powerful goddess that would require weaker and mostly forgotten pantheons such as the Sumerians to combine their entire might to fight, the only religions who could ever hope to defeat the Shinto would be the Hindu pantheon and The Chinese immortals, but it was impossible for the boy to be a descendent from one of those pantheons. This was due to the fact that these two religions had long since stopped involving with the human world.
After the Kurukshetra war ended in 3102 BCE with the death of the beloved child of the sun god Surya and the Pandavas claiming victory over the Kauravas, the Hindu gods realized that their involvement with the mortal world was the primary driving factor of the conflicts arising among their children and rest of the residents in India, thus, they decided to retreat from the world for good and only watch over their beloved citizens from beyond the sky, from their own version of heaven, Swarga, and only ever coming out of seclusion to deal with threats towards their people, specifically the Christian species like the Devils and the Fallen who had once tried to manipulate the people of India the same way they manipulate the rest of the world.
Yasaka could not help but shudder when she thought of the gruesome fate that befell those poor Devils and Fallen at the hands of the Hindu gods at that time. Needless to say, no religion in the world was willing to so much as step a foot in India after that incident to this day.
While the reason for the Chinese Immortals to retreat from the mortal world was not as noble as that of the Hindu pantheon, it was still no less important. This was due to the fact the most of the Immortals in the Immortal world were beginning to think themselves to be above everyone else and though as themselves to be the rightful rulers of the world, this led to the Jade Emperor making an intervention personally and forcefully sealing off the Immortal world from the mortal world to keep it safe, however, the seal only effects the immortals that are on par with the elder gods, creatures that are slightly lower in power level such as Sun Wukong can easily surpass that seal. Fortunately, these lesser immortals are not a threat to the world, thus not worth thinking too much about.
"Relax Yasaka, the boy does not have Hindu or Chinese bloodline in him, otherwise he would have already been shining like a lighthouse to anyone that has even a beginner level supernatural senses" Amaterasu said, stopping Yasaka from thinking further.
"But then whose descendent is he?" she asked to which Amaterasu had a serious face.
"His divinity is very familiar, however, I am unable to recall exactly whose divinity it is, it is as if something is actively blocking my senses and memory from recalling the deity that is the owner of that Divinity, anyways, my purpose for coming to the mortal world is now complete so I will be returning to Takamagahara soon, you too should return to the palace and relax, my daughter," she said with a warm look.
But the duo of Yokai and Goddess did not know that they would soon end up meeting the young man again due to a particularly troublesome matter.

Hey guys, sorry for the long wait, I had lost my job three weeks ago because of the lockdown from COVID, this resulted in me attending many online interviews and finally landing a job two days ago. Now I can finally continue writing again.
